The hotel is actually a huge disappointment. It does not feel homely or even trendy. The rooms are small and the bathrooms are minute. The spa did not work and the gym is vry basic. The hotel is very impersonal. At least it is strategically located. more

Stayed at Carlton hotel in Lille on business. Hotel is very comfortable and stylish, with some amazing antique pieces in the hallways and corridors. Nice (but small) bar in the lobby area. Check minibar on arrival or you will be scammed and charged - with the reception staff being condescending whist doing so. Took money off credit card without prior notification or invoice. Rooms unclean and tired. If you are over 6ft tall you will be unable to sit comfortably on toilet as room tiny. Do not bother with "do not disturb"... more

The hotel is in the center of Lille within walking distance to the train stations. There is not much in Lille as far as tourism but if you are coming here this is a good choice of hotel. more

Quite an old hotel, although this must have been a top of the range hotel when it was first built as the rooms are very spacious and are still well decorated and laid out. The fittings had been upgraded reasonably recently and each room had its own Daikin Air-conditioning unit that worked well, along with flat screen TV and mini-bar.... more
