From the wonderful welcome from Veronique, to the rooms and fantastic continental breakfast in the morning, we had a lovely stay at l'escale malouine. Clean, well appointed rooms ( even had hair straighteners) wooden floors and tasteful decor. Highly recommend.

Very nice and interesting old house, with clean rooms and a nice atmosphere. Breakfast is also very good, the 5 Star hostess Veronique is very helpful with advices for everything in Dunkerque and surrounding, and also gives you the feeling of being welcome in her house. There is good wifi for free and the beach is within walking distance (... More

This is a lovely old house with thre letting rooms. The hostess Veronique is exceptional. The breakfast is one of the best continental breakfast we have had. The B&B is on a fairly busy road, but there is little noise, and parking can be found on the street outside- if you are lucky - or very nearby. The sea front... More

Delightful lady runs the hotel and her English is good. The location is within an easy walk to the boardwalk. About a 20 minute walk to the downtown. Free street parking. We had an upgraded room that looked out on the street and was very bright. The room was nicely furnished. We had to haul our luggage up a steep... More

Where do I start?! Superb room and en suite bathroom, a delicious breakfast with lots to choose from and ofcourse the friendliest B&B owner I have come across. The B&B itself is situated in the perfect place; 5 min walk from the beach that holds wonderful seafood restaurants, bars and ice cream/crepe/waffle stops, and a 10 min walk to town... More

If looking to stay in Dunkerque then this small hotel is well worth a visit. From the welcome you receive upon arrival, through to the cleanliness and standard of the rooms and then the breakfast - wow!!!. Veronique really makes sure that you leave in the morning feeling well fed, the range of cold food available is staggering. We will... More

After a couple of nights watching cycling at the Gent velodrome we needed a quiet time before Christmas shopping in Dunkirk. What a lovely house. Our room was comfortable and beautifully decorated. The new window shutters are brilliant - so tempting just to play with them - but I didn't - honest! After a good night's sleep we were a... More

We were running late and were exhausted by the time we arrived in Dunkerque, but were treated to a warm welcome when we finally pulled up at L'escale Malouine. Our room was small but very nicely decorated, spotlessly clean and the bed exceptionally comfortable. Then next morning we were treated to an excellent breakfast served with a smile. I cannot...
