Excellent stopover. We had one night (husband and self) in a lovely large room with an ensuite and separate loo. The sunshine room I think. Gilles and Jacqueline were exceptional hosts. We had an excellent evening meal with wine and coffee. Despite the fact my French is very schoolgirl, we managed most of the dinner in French, chatting with another... More

Just spent an overnight with my wife and two friends. In village in the middle of nowhere yet very easy access to Calais, Boulogne & St.Omer. Lovely house and garden. Cosy rooms at a reasonable price. Delicious four course evening meal with aperitif, wine & coffee. Gillies & Jacqueline were most welcoming and helpful hosts. Excellent English. We would all... More

Lovely place; great food, spacious rooms & considerate exceptional hosts. It is not the easiest place to find & I would think even trickier in the dark however that is part of the reason that it is so peaceful. We were delayed 2 hours at the Tunnel and called on ahead as we boarded the train to re-assure them that... More

Highly suggest using this B&B for a weekend trip around the Calais area. My husband and I like to go to France to get wine but we like to stay somewhere close by to make it a fun trip. Gilles & Jacqueline where extremely welcoming and gave lots of useful information for our day trip to St. Omar. I also... More

We have to agree with the majority of other reviews it is excellent. Admittedly we had a bit of trouble finding it in the dark but it was worth it. Our hosts were charming,The room was warm and comfortable and the evening meal was simple but delicious. We were the only guests on a cold January night, and we thoroughly... More

After a 10 hour drive through France we were hoping that our choice of a place to spend the night before getting the train to Folkestone the next morning was a good one. Well, it could not have been a better choice. Lovely house in a quiet rural spot with a comfortable bed in a beautifully decorated room with an... More

High standard of accommodation and food. Giles and Jacqueline the French owners, make you welcome, and speak excellent English. Very highly recommended if you want a good standard of accommodation, food and hospitality. They are located about 45 minutes from the Eurotunnel and Calais. We will return here again.

Stayed for one night en route from Italy/Chamonix. Just perfect, don't know how we've missed this other years! Jacqueline and Giles are charming hosts, as is their eldest son, who was there for he weekend. The room, the house, the garden, all perfect. We ate a delicious dinner with the family, and enjoyed lively and informative conversation. The breakfast of... More

Quiet, comfortable, good food, friendly and knowledgable hosts. We were treated to a warm welcome from Giles and Jacqueline. 4 of us stayed for two nights and at there both evenings. Food was delicious and generous, Giles is a mine of information on the local area and his cider is excellent. Highly recommended.

Stayed one night here before getting the shuttle back to England. The French owners were really friendly and welcoming and this was a proper ‘chambre d’hôte’ experience as with previous ones we had stayed in, we had been the only people staying and had dined alone, whereas here, everyone (another English couple and a French family as well as the...
