I stayed at the Heliot Hotel for 3 nights and really enjoyed my stay. The hotel was quiet and very clean. The location was perfect, in the very centre of the city, 2 minutes away from the airport shuttle's stop. The staff was very helpful and very friendly. No complains at all whatsoever.

How often we hear the words "a home away from home", but more than anything else, this hidden gem of a hotel seems like just that. A human size, refinished in a fashion that is both discrete and elegant, this is truly a hidden gem...an inviting and welcoming experience in a very busy world.

I stayed for 2 nights: the owner is very kind and always available for any request I had. The hotel is very clean and there are two options for breakfast: a croissant and coffee/tea or a buffet (both were good). The position of the hotel is very central and close to underground station and the bus stop for the airport... More

Frederick is a gem - very helpful and informative. The hotel is everything you could hope for, very comfortable, clean, quiet with a nice continental breakfast. It is close to Everything - restaurants, shops, things to see and do and transport links. The only down side is no English TV, a news channel would be a nice touch for English... More

The hotel is very close to Jean Jares and this was why I chose it. And I didn't regret it 1 second. I arrived at midnight and the reception normally closes at 10 pm, but Frederic - the owner - waited for me. He speaks perfectly English and is a very kind man. You are in walking distance to all... I stayed here 9/24-26/13. It was like staying in a brand new hotel. All of the furniture, carpeting, bathroom fixtures are all new and beautiful. The a/c was also new and I needed it because the temps were in the high 80's. The location can't be beat. It is walking distance from everything you need to see and the stop... More

The hotel Heliot is very small, 12 rooms I think. Family owned. A few meters from Jean-Jaures metro station. My room was a twin (single occupancy), very spacious. Rooms have been renovated, although some of the furniture shows signs of wear. Is a non-smoking hotel (most are now) but you can tell it was not, you see burn marks on... More

This hotel is in a beautiful old building in a quiet street close to the city centre. The welcoming owner helped with advise on the local area and places to eat. We stayed in a family room which accommodated our teenage children well on the top floor. The room was at the back of the hotel and afforded us a... More

This hotel is a great find in Toulouse. It is a one man show, owned and operated by Frederic....and his enormous cat Heliot, who only speaks French by the way!...the cat not Fred. The hotel has only 12 rooms, so it is a good idea to book early if you intend to go to Toulouse. The building itself is old,... More

I enjoyed Toulouse a lot, and my stay at Hotel Heliot was one of the main reasons. I stayed at Heliot for 4 nights, last week (Sept. 2012), and I felt like at home. Fred, the manager, was really kind and helpful, ready to help and advice about the city, he speaks French, English and Spanish fluently, so I can... More
