A hotel of some style, as befits the former "boarding house" of the pioneering French aviators. Could not be more convenient on the corner of Place du Capitole, but the consequence is noise at night particularly in lower floor rooms which prevented us from sleeping. (Suggestion: hotel to supply ear plugs.) Bedrooms smart, but standard rooms not large and luggage... More

Great hotel, fantastic central location, staff very helpful - the only problem is the style and design gets in the way of practicality: staff are supposed to staff reception and the bar, but can't see in the bar to know if you are waiting. In my bathroom the shower was amazing -but the washbowl too shallow to wash my hands... More

I stayed in room 522 which is the only room on the fifth floor. The room is huge by French standard, modern, well decorated with a very large and very confortable king bed. The bathroom is also very large by any standard with bath and separate shower. Everything is very practical but you can't close the bathroom door since there... More

Stayed on evening with a colleague. First off the parking situation is awful. You must navigate around the center of town and park below the square. Then you carry your bags a long distance only to carry them up stairs and into the seating area of a cafe from which you walk to the hotel. Not fun. The room is... More

Dear sir, I would like to thank you for taking time to share your impressions about the Grand Balcon Hotel. However; I do not find any record of your reservation or your stay in our system. Are you sure you are talking about the right hotel ? Indeed, I am surprised as our bar menu offers a large selection of... More

Great value for this design boutique hotel located in the heart of Toulouse. It was a great surprise to find this design hotel which is the opposite of the boring hotel chains. from the lobby to the room everything is design, modern, well thought. The room was surprisingly large for French standards. Large bathroom with shower. There was a coffee... More

I stayed at the Grand Bacon Hotel on the evening of St Valentines Day in 2015. The hotel is well positioned, just off the main Toulouse square where there are several bars and restaurants. The staff was helpful and charming. The room (320) was a reasonable size, clean and comfortable with a view over the side street that leads into... More

It was a cold and rainy night in Toulouse...but we couldn't have been more comfortable than we were in Le Grand Balcon hotel, enjoying white wine in the lobby bar. Our bartender/reception representative was Axel, who had been on the job less than a week but was able to help us find a perfect restaurant for dinner (La Cendree) and... More

Arrived here after a pretty full on weekend in the Pyrenees and was very pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome in reception. The room was clean & bright and despite the current penchant for open plan bathing there was a modesty curtain which met the approval of both guests. Staff were more than happy to assist with local info and... More

we stayed a couple of nights and found it in a great location with very good and friendly staff, the room was very nice with a very large double , the décor in the hotel is good , there are two lounges for drinks , we didn't have breakfast so cant comment on that, next time were in Toulouse we... Good room, with a very comfortable bed and well organised bathroom. Nespresso machine in the room, but not obvious why there is no kettle and tea alongside it. Breakfast was good, but limited; more fruit would be good. But having written that, there was excellent scrambled egg and very few hotels can manage that. Definite plaudit.
