This hotel is smack in the middle of Toulouse; one can see the Place Capitole (main square) from some of the rooms. It is an old building which has been renovated in a very contemporary style, but somehow has retained a warm, comfortable atmosphere. I can't think I'd want to stay anywhere else.

Stayed in this great boutique hotel in June for 2 nights, the room was divine beautifully decorated in Art Deco style we found out it was where St Exupery lived for a while it used to be a house for pilots hence the cloud reference and you find the theme right through this hotel. The staff were very helpful the... More

The 2 nigths at the Grand Balcon to discover Toulouse made for a very nice stay. We went for the St-Exupéry suite, an affordable splurge for a historic room with almost all current commodities. WIFI is for free. A few downsides: to shower in the sleak design bath tub is just a hassle, and breakfast comes at EUR 18 per... More

Le Grand Balcon is a great choice for exploring the city sights of Tolouse. Located just steps from Capitol Square, you are in easy walking distance to the great architecture and shopping of central Toulouse. Staff is very helpful and speaks perfect English. The rooms are very modern with flat screen TV's, updated bathrooms and lovely beds. There is even... More

The hotel's best feature is its location. Well designed rooms, massive tv's, good beds and a nespresso machine. The downsides... A bit noisy when windows are open, overpriced 18 Euro breakfast and a bathroom that could be a bit cleaner.

We had the same experience. Hotel very nice.. concierge really helped us with a plane mix up. Breakfast very nice. etc. A bit noisy.. But the clear glass in the bathroom I didn't get. There are apts right across the street that can look right in. The other photos don't look like its clear. Location ,location .location. perfect.

Great location, very nice staff ,best ac we have had ...very quiet. Street is noisy. Ambien helped! But... Ok I see the photos.. Maybe it's just us... But the glass is clear from the bed area right into the bathroom. There is a solid door..not sure what for since anyone in the bed area can entirely see what's going on in... More

Stayed here on business for the second time. Very friendly and relaxing hotel. Staff are always courteous and helpful and the rooms are small but nicely appointed. Great location, close to the main square and would recommend.

The hotel is in a great situation and very stylish. How it achieved 5 stars with such a small standard room is beyond me - the rooms sizes are more 3 star but well equipped and nicely decorated and themed.

This hotel is situated right in the middle of the town,so great location to be able to walk out at night to sample the local restaurants.Parking is in an underground public car park close by,do not be put off by the access via the small roads. Very comfortable hotel and staff were very helpful.Pleased with our choice.
