Staff found us a room at very short notice (having had a bad experience at the Hotel Junior up the road). Staff very friendly and caring and went out of their way to help us. Nice clean rooms, some need a little updating but all fresh, cleaned daily and airy. Fantastic location as right next to Capitole. Ideal

A comfortable and convenient hotel ideally situated to explore the delights of Toulouse's history, architecture, culture and gastronomy. Staff are unfailingly helpful and friendly. Our room was spacious with a good bathroom. Being set back from the street means that all rooms are quiet. The only disadvantage is that, as it is a heritage building, there is no lift from... More

I wasn't picking up the bill this time, so some other thoughts: Plus: location excellent; service is efficient and friendly. Showers good and hot. Free wifi (although the signal was rather flaky in the room). Minus: continental breakfast is good but not that great value at €9. Walls are pretty thin Overall: a good choice for a well-situated two star... More

We stayed here for one night in March. +very central. Good value hotel steps from the Capitole and walking distance to all central city attractions. Lots of shops and restaurants close by. Parking is also just steps away at the underground car park under the Capitole square. Make sure you get your ticket validated so get the 9 euro per... More

First things first: If you arrive by car, park in the "Parking Capitole" as this is where the hotel has its parking deal. It is also very close to the hotel and easy to access. This underground car park has four exits one on each corner of the square; so it doesn't really matter where you 'pop up'! The hotel... More

Location is very central, but difficult to arrive by car and impossible to park. Be ready to park a little far and walk, so travel light. It has no air conditioning, but is really close to everywhere you want to go.

The best aspect of this hotel is the location. It is centrally located and walking distance from everything. The main issue we had was the hotel has no air conditioning and with our room on the 4th floor we could not sleep due to the Heat! Even with the windows open the room was unbearable. Otherwise it was decent for... More

A budget hotel that is ideally situated on the historic Rue du Taur, just round the corner from the main Capitol square. You can't really beat it for location. the airport shuttlebus stops at the Joan D'arc metro stop nearby. Pros: - good value for money for that location - rooms were quiet. Ours looked out onto the courtyard and... More

We were visiting Toulouse for the first time, for a 5-night stay. We didn’t want to spend a lot on the hotel, so we picked du Taur based on Trip Advisor ratings. Good Points: Location, it is 50 yards from the Place du Capitole (the city’s main square). The hotel room was spotlessly clean and recently decorated, the staff were... More

I have stayed in many hotels in Toulouse, the Hotel du Taur is well located so my partner and I decided to give it a try! The price started at 82 euros for the night, which dropped to 72 euros, her colleague dropped the price to 65 euros, which we were happy with. The room itself was spacious and comfortable,... More
