First things first: If you arrive by car, park in the "Parking Capitole" as this is where the hotel has its parking deal. It is also very close to the hotel and easy to access. This underground car park has four exits one on each corner of the square; so it doesn't really matter where you 'pop up'! The hotel... More

Location is very central, but difficult to arrive by car and impossible to park. Be ready to park a little far and walk, so travel light. It has no air conditioning, but is really close to everywhere you want to go.

The best aspect of this hotel is the location. It is centrally located and walking distance from everything. The main issue we had was the hotel has no air conditioning and with our room on the 4th floor we could not sleep due to the Heat! Even with the windows open the room was unbearable. Otherwise it was decent for... More

A budget hotel that is ideally situated on the historic Rue du Taur, just round the corner from the main Capitol square. You can't really beat it for location. the airport shuttlebus stops at the Joan D'arc metro stop nearby. Pros: - good value for money for that location - rooms were quiet. Ours looked out onto the courtyard and... More

We were visiting Toulouse for the first time, for a 5-night stay. We didn’t want to spend a lot on the hotel, so we picked du Taur based on Trip Advisor ratings. Good Points: Location, it is 50 yards from the Place du Capitole (the city’s main square). The hotel room was spotlessly clean and recently decorated, the staff were... More

I have stayed in many hotels in Toulouse, the Hotel du Taur is well located so my partner and I decided to give it a try! The price started at 82 euros for the night, which dropped to 72 euros, her colleague dropped the price to 65 euros, which we were happy with. The room itself was spacious and comfortable,... More

Face it, when traveling I usually spend more time away from my hotel room than in it, so all I really want is safety, cleanliness and convenience. Hotel du Taur has all this plus a superb location and good value. The owner manager was gracious and friendly, speaking excellent English. She offered shopping and restaurant suggestions even coming down to... More

You get what you pay for and that is what you should expect. This is a comfortable hotel in the centre of Toulouse. Excellent value for money and I would stay again without hesitation if I wanted to be in the centre of Toulouse. I don't understand how you can say the Holiday Inn at the airport would be better... Right around the corner from Toulouse City Hall (Hotel d'Ville). It's a very historic building, but that doesn't mean that it's old-fashioned. The accommodations are modern with the amenities you'd expect. The age of the building reveals itself in slow-to-heat and low-pressure showers. It's a small blemish on an otherwise top-quality value. We also asked for restaurant recommendations from the... More

Lets remember that this is an old 2* hotel right in the oldest part of the city centre and not the 4* Holiday Inn at the airport as one reviewer would have preferred. There are no fancy toiletries in the bathrooms, there is a flight of stairs from the street to the reception (ground floor premises are all shops) and... More
