We have just returned from a trip to France during which we spent 5 nights at Les Esclargies with our daughter and dog. It is a really lovely, small hotel set in lovely grounds with a swimming pool. Our room was - like the whole hotel - very tastefully furnished in a modern style and although quite small, was comfortable... More

A wonderful hotel in a beautiful garden with a great pool. Comfortable rooms, very clean and quiet at night. Very good service (nothing was to much for the staff) Very good breakfast with bacon, scrambled eggs, breads, cakes and much more..... Very close to the town of Rocamadour. This was the best hotel I had in France and I will... More

L'esclargies is a pleasant hotel located in a nice, quiet garden on the edge of the historic town of Rocamadour. It is very convenient for access to all the tourist sites and restaurants, keeping in mind you need to walk up some very steep hills or use the ascensure and inclinee to get to the top of the hill. However,... More

We had a good room on the first floor looking out over the garden. We arrived early but the room was soon ready. There is no lift but our large, heavy suitcase was taken up to the room for us. A quick snooze after a long drive and we were off through the garden to look at the chateau perched... More

We stayed here for two nights with our dog, excellent location between l'Hospitalet and the chateau, beautiful grounds, great pool, very comfortable bed and extremely quiet room. Service very good although the breakfast could be better.

A really excellent location. Easy to find with a free car park. Walk through the gardens to the edge of the valley and 2 mins from the walk down into Rocamadour or the lift. Also, just a short walk to local restaurants . The reception was very helpful and pleasant. The room was a good size, with free Wi-Fi .... More

I stayed at the Les Esclargies for one night with my mother and my dog while on our way to Madrid. We found it on Tripadvisor as one of the highly recommended pet friendly hotels, and called ahead to ensure we wouldn't have problems with the dog on arrival. The hotel is modern and freshly decorated in a way that... More

Lovely modern hotel set in peaceful grounds, central to both L'Hospitalet or the lower town. Walking distance to good restaurants (we ate at Hotel Belvedere in L'Hospitalet - excellent). Rooms are restful, bed was excellent. Earlier reviews mention no shower curtains, but our shower had a lovely glass door, and the bathroom was elegant and spotless. Breakfast is 12 Euros,... More

We stayed just one night in Les Esclargies, having deliberated for a while over which hotel to choose. It turned out that we had picked a gem. Our room was simply but tastefully decorated, with views across the woodlands through large picture windows. It was quite small but we had deliberately decided not to pay for the slightly larger room... More

We stayed here for one night on a fabulous last minute deal. This new boutique style hotel has it all; lovely quiet woodland setting yet just on the edge of one of France's most famous tourist attractions. The rooms are beautifully appointed with small balconies overlooking stunning grounds. The hotel does not have a licence yet can provide wine and... More
