We originally booked to stay here with our 2 children and 3 dogs on our outward journey. Our experience of staying and dining here was that great that we booked to stay on our return journey too. Laurent is a charming, well-spoken proprietor who made us feel at home. The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated and have views to die... More

The scenery, the hospitality, the amazing food... I can't say enough wonderful things about Les Vielles Tours. We stayed here in April of 2013 (its taken me too long to write a review!). The owner, Laurent, was so kind and so helpful. Due to our previous lodging arrangements not working out, we had to quickly find a new place to... More

A friend recommended this hotel when I was planning a walking holiday in the Dordogne. What a discovery! The location is idyllic being just outside Rocamadour in a peaceful location on top of a hill overlooking the national park. The restaurant is of an exceptionally high standard and in the summer holidays from mid July to the end of August... More

My experience with this hotel and its proprietors was by far the worst I have ever had not only with any hotel, but with any business. These people are not merely rude, they are vile. The unpleasantness began in our first phone call. when I reserved the room. They implied that I'd be lucky to get a room with them... More

Our stay here could not have been better and we were treated like friends rather than guests by Laurent and his lovely wife who went out of their way to do everything they could to make our stay truly memorable. The food is fabulous, the view from the pool and the sunsets from the restaurant are beautiful and the old... More

Beautiful location near the old town of Rocamadour. A very beautiful hotel with a nice view over the valley. A great swimming pool, nicely renovated old chateau with very cozy accommondation. The service was excellent and, the vaitors and the owners were very nice. A great quiet place where you can relax yourself at a fair price! The only minus,... More

Fabulous location less than 5km outside high up over the valley. Great room, though like the rest of france (and the UK), it was a hot night despite the loan of a fan. Excellent 4 course dinner as part of the package with very attentive service. The only let down was breakfast which was just ok. Would stay again.

We stayed for one night at this accommodation- and it wasn't what we were looking for. The accommodation was basic- and in summer had no air conditioning. We were shown the view- great- but we would have preferred the children to have slept though the night, rather than wake up itching because we had no choice but to leave the... More

Travelling down through France to the south we took the opportunity to call into Rocamadour for a couple of nights and found the most wonderful tranquil haven. The hotel's location is absolutely excellent being within a couple of minutes drive of Rocamadour. On our arrival we were greeted with such charm and made to feel very, very welcome. Our hosts... The main building is fine, but it seems that the guest accommodation is in two converted out buildings. The rooms themselves are quite well appointed and are clean and reasonably decorated, but it does seem like one is staying in an old Barn, which it may well have been ! Our Room was in the nearer of the two buildings... More
