Troubadour is a lovely, peaceful, quality place to stay. Restaurant is excellent and there is a pleasant pool to relax by. Staff very friendly and attentive. Closed during day - I.e.no lunch on offer but if you stay by pool, drive to nearby town (not Rocamadour) and grab sandwich at local deli. Beds good and firm and very quiet to... More

This is a beautifully located hotel which is charming, clean, dog friendly and has an outstanding restaurant. The rooms are very easily accessed from the car park and the views across the countryside are stunning. The restaurant is a must, and though not cheap, the quality is Michelin Star standard.

The hotel is very much out in the country, with lovely views across to fields with lots of sheep. It's about a 20 minute walk to the nearest village, L'Hospitalet, then under 20 minutes to Rocamadour. There is a path from the back of the hotel which leads most of the way to L'Hospitalet & we used this to eat... More

Le Troubadour is about 1-2 kilometres outside the centre of the old town but that is a good reason for staying here. The old town itself has hotels but they open directly onto the central tourist street full of bars & trinket shops whereas La Troubadour is surrounded by generous grounds including a swimming pool overlooking the surrounding countryside. The... More

A great place to stay at the end of a days cycling along the Dordogne. A good size swimming pool. Fantastic food and very friendly service. The rooms have good size beds and are comfortable. They are in a converted barn overlooking beautiful farmland and walking distance to the historic Medieval city which is really worth a visit.

We have just stayed 2 nights here and were made welcome from start to finish. The hotel is situated in a pastoral setting, beautiful countryside with little noise to distract. The buildings are pleasing to the eye and a very restful atmosphere pervades the public areas. We were blessed with perfect weather and were able to sit out either by... More

Amazing town, amazing hotel! Beautiful, praceful, tasty. Whitewashed walls, oak wooden floors and furniture made by a local artisan/ Secure country location but walkable into Rocamadour (20 mins). Recommend!

We stayed 2 nights and wish we would have stayed longer. The weather was perfect and so was the experience. This very well kept facility is in a great location to visit the Rocamadour area. The rooms are basic, clean, simple and comfortable. The swimming-pool area is very well kept and it is surrounded by beautiful views of the country... More

We stayed at Le Troubadour for a couple of nights during a tour of the Dordogne and Lot valleys. The position was perfect for us as was the hotel generally. The owner/proprietor family who have developed it over some three decades run the place with love and affection and it shows. Both dinners were first class and we would definitely... More
