This was not my hotel of choice as my original choices were still closed due to the recent major floods. The Metropole is an original 19th. Stayed here as arranged by our tour . Rooms are old needs renovation, quite dark. Toilets and bathroom are separated. Got a roim that's under the stairs so u can't sleep at night as other guest going up that uses stairs are noisy dragging their feet. Breakfast buffet has very limited choices and has dirty plates. I requested a quiet room but was put in a room overlooking the street (opposite St Frai Hospital) which had very noisy nightime deliveries / rubbish collections.
