When we arrived we were told the wi-fi was down and had been for over a week - a nightmare when you have to do research. We were told that numerous cafes in the town had wi-fi...this proved not to be true. Someone had been smoking in the room, the smell lingered - when I opened the windows for fresh... More

Beautiful architecture, with a modern upgrade in comfort. like electronic keys, ceiling fans, up-to-date bathroom. The restaurant is very beatiful and comfortable, but the breakfast is expensive (€12 per person) for what is offered. Location is wonderful, the wisteria is amazing.

We stayed for one night in mid September. The views from the room were spectacular - and the room was clean. We booked a table in the restaurant for dinner and that was where things went downhill. They were clearly understaffed. We were told that we couldn't sit on the terrace- even though we were the first people to arrive.... More

Stayed 3 nights at this hotel (€88 per couple per night) to give time to explore the town and also to visit Albi. The ascent from the low town was disconcerting at first as the road narrowed and became full of pedestrians and delivery vans - do we really drive up this way? The answer is YES, just keep heading... We booked a suite and it was beautiful. Needed to call people in Rodez but receptionist didn't know how to give me an external line on the phone system (we had Australian mobiles, no French sim). Restaurant excellent value, but too many junior staff on being trained, so it was rather uncomfortable to watch as they tried to open bottles... More

sweet old hotel in stunning location at the top of the old town. Rooms adequate. The Australian owner was exceptionally cheerful and helpful. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was good and not overly-expensive.

We got to Cordes after having been to Rocamadour. What a contrast: everything closed there, all was open in Cordes. Spent the night - beautiful meal, great breakfast, friendly staff - and explored the whole of the village in the morning. Definitely worth a visit. One of the highlights of our holiday in France!

We got off to a bad start in this beautiful hotel on top of the world in the medieval village of Cordes Sur Ciel. THe 'free wifi in every room" promise was not fulfilled in the room to which we were first assigned and the person on the desk that afternoon was adamant that: I ld use my computer on... More

Beware - not an easy place to reach, even with a map! Having driven around Cordes several times we eventually gambled and took a steep narrow cobbled street just off the square and headed up - and up. We had previously been advised to stop outside the hotel to drop off our bags. The reception staff were very helpful. Gave... More

Stayed two nights in Cordes. The hotel is directly in the center of the old town and a bit tricky to get to if you are driving though we made all the proper turns and made it to the hotel with little problem. Front staff very helpful. Our room was a triple-chambre #7 which was sufficient size for 2 suitcases... More
