In the heart of the city. The period building has been given a quirky and interesting personality. We stayed in the Van Gogh room which was great. Staff were very helpful. Took our car to secure parking and returned it to the door for our luggage on our departure and for a very reasonable fee. We would have enjoyed seeing... More

Hotel de l'Europe is a 300 year old building in the centre of Castres. The location is ideal to visit anywhere in the town on foot. and is a 20 minute walk from the rugby stadium. The bedrooms are comfortable with a very modern feel to them, while retaining the character of the building. Stairs are narrow and steep -... More

Stayed here for rugby. Staff very helpful. Room on 3rd floor with no lift. Parking either at discount in local car park €3 or garage €8 per night. Quirky is the right word, but interesting old building right in the centre of town. Convenient for Goya museum, 20 minutes walk to rugby ground. Will definitely stay again if in area.

We stayed for 2 nights whilst visiting Castres for the rugby game with Northampton (no Irish ref next year please!!). This hotel is excellently positioned and has large, beautifully designed and equipped bedrooms set on several floors of what looks from the outside like "just-another" old building in the centre of town. The price was very reasonable for what was... More

With its individually and variously themed rooms, l'Europe has delighted me on, now, four occasions over the past three years. When Northampton announce dates for games in castres, my first move is to book a room here. In the middle of the town and not overly priced, this comfortable hotel provides spacious rooms of a variety of quality (read price)... More

Great quirky hotel right in the centre of Castres. Nice room on 3rd floor (no lift), big comfy bed, tea(!) and coffee making facility and large flat screen TV (only French channels). This is certainly not your modern chain hotel but a great place to stay if visiting Castres

The hotel is located in the center of the town, with a very cozy atmosphere. The staff are very helpful. The rooms are ok, confortable, we stayed in the 3rd floor, and if you are heavy packed, should consider a lower level. The price is fair.

We stopped at the Hotel de l'Europe for two nights while walking the Chemin d'Arles towards the Spanish border. We loved the place. The location was perfect, right in the middle of a town that has a great deal to offer to tourists. Reception staff were friendly, helpful and enthusiastic. The breakfast was superior. And the bedrooms: what a combination... More
