The moment I entered the lobby to go upstairs to our room, I just went 'WOW!'. The evening sun shining through the glass roof of this baroque-style building made the rich yellow paint of the old walls positively hum. I was further delighted, going up the stairs, by the little pseudo crypt which is on a landing half-way up at... More

The location speaks for itself (though nowhere is far in Castres). Our room was nice, if a little small. The windows open out over the atrium, so can be noisy as you can hear everything that goes on in the lobby. My only complaint was one member of staff who smoked throughout her shift at the front desk, sending smoke... More

Lovely hotel with friendly staff and great location. Stayed one night when going to watch the rugby in Castres. Was greeted by the staff who said that our room was not ready (we were very early) but were happy to store our bags for us. Our room was small but cosy, lovely and warm and overlooking the central atrium of... More

We booked through recommendation for a rugby weekend. This hotel is very central in this small town and although we drove it is quite close to both rail and bus stations. Quite a quirky hotel in very old buildings. Our room had a raised sunken bath (up a couple of steps then down) all in the same room as the... More

A lovely weekend in a lovely old hotel. The breakfast was great. It has a new lift to the top floors. The Christmaa decorations were lovely . We had a radiator which was not working and it was fixed almost immediately .

I arrived in castres on a cycling trip on a budget. The kind lady working at reception on arrival gave me a room for a reduced rate and a place to keep my bike. The hotel is very elegent snd stylish. The room was immaculate. Fantastic

This hotel is well positioned in the centre of town. Access by car is possible but may be daunting for some. The hotel owner greeted us and as we were parked about 100 metres away he offered 3 different parking solutions. We decided on street parking near the courts of Justice. As others have noted the building (and owner) has... More

Our room (the Berlin) was excellent, and the bathroom also. No air-conditioning, so glad we weren't there in warmer weather. Ideal location. Had to open windows to get fresh air in, but that let in mosquito-type insects. They didn't bite, but they buzzed around our faces all night. Smoke smell evident the moment you step out of your room to... More

In the heart of the city. The period building has been given a quirky and interesting personality. We stayed in the Van Gogh room which was great. Staff were very helpful. Took our car to secure parking and returned it to the door for our luggage on our departure and for a very reasonable fee. We would have enjoyed seeing... More

Hotel de l'Europe is a 300 year old building in the centre of Castres. The location is ideal to visit anywhere in the town on foot. and is a 20 minute walk from the rugby stadium. The bedrooms are comfortable with a very modern feel to them, while retaining the character of the building. Stairs are narrow and steep -... More
