This was the smallest but freshest and best-decorated room I stayed in during a week in France. The hotel is just off the main thoroughfare in Cahors and doesn't have a restaurant, but the helpful owner will recommend several. It doesn't open until 5pm, but there are lots of things to see in the town, and it's in the old... More

The perfect location is in the center of town. It is the former palace Dueze from the 13th century, and is at the foot of the tower of Pope John XXII at the top of the old town, near the Church of St. Bartholomew. We took the train and walked to the hotel. The owner was very friendly and helpful.... More

We stayed in Cahors for a house hunting trip and wanted to be in the town center to watch the World Cup games and enjoy the restaurants without have to drive afterwards. Hotel Jean XXII turned out to be a very pleasant surprise as we didn't expect a lot because of the two star rating. Everything was in very good... More

The hotel is in an easy walking distance for exploring the sights in the city center. We stayed for just one night before starting our week long self-drive boat trip on the lot. The room was clean and comfortable, the owner friendly and helpful. There was a nice breakfast area and a sitting room which had tourism info for the... More

We arrived at Cahors in the afternoon with nowhere to stay. We were looking for 3 or 4 star hotels but found nothing suitable. We went back to this hotel in this incredible medieval building. The owner is not there in the afternoon but there was a sign on the door to tell you when he is on duty. He... More

I highly recommend this hotel. The rooms are spotless, comfortably appointed, spacious enough, with plenty of cupboard space. The breakfast is nicely presented in a pleasant room. The host is extremely accommodating and helpful. The location is ideal, centrally located in the old city.

The hotel is located at the edge of the old city, within easy strolling to all major sites in town. Staff were friendly and helped meet every need. Room was small, but the bed was comfortable and there was plenty of closet space. The shower had constant hot water and lots of water pressure. Perhaps most important, everything was very... More

Booked here for 3 nights on the basis of reviews on this site. Room and ensuite of reasonable size by European standards IMO. Interior decor clean and well maintained. Pleasant and helpful hotel owner attended personally to all our requirements. Continental breakfast adequate and at reasonable price. Well located for walking tours around the town. Others have shared that the rooms are small. Indeed, so was ours, but it was more than adequate for our needs. The bathroom, also small, but entirely efficient and all of this in a very clean and tidy environment. The owner was open and helpful with recommendations as well as finding a safe place to store our tandem bicycle. In... More

We had a small room but it had all one needed for 1 night and a very comfy bed! A very old building but it has been decorated and up-dated immaculately and it was a real pleasure to stay there. The patron is charming and helpful and gave us a good breakfast in the morning. Right in the centre of... More
