This hotel is ideal for a one night stay in Cahors as it was for us. It is a short walk from the main street and nearby parking is free. Our reasonably priced room was a standard double with shower. It was clean and adequately spacious. However the mattress was very firm and led to a disturbed night's sleep. We... More

Cahors is our favourite town in France, and Hotel Jean XXII is our favourite hotel. And room #9 in there is our favourite room in that favourite hotel. We stayed in this hotel first in 2003 when it was still L'Escargot, with downstairs bar and breakfast seating but actually, we like it better like this. The rooms are not large... More

We did not expect much, just looking for a comfortable enough room for two nights. We were really pleased with our choice. Extremely convenient location just off main street, with free parking nearby. Room on the 2nd floor (really 3rd) was up a lot of stairs, small but very comfortable, with convenient storage. Husband said he had the best bathroom... More

This place is actually in a very convenient location - just look for 5 Gambetta Blvd and the tall medieval tower and you will find it. Free on-street parking is nearby. You are on the border of the old part of the town and the more bustling Gambetta Blvd shopping district. The hotel manager will give you a map. The... More

This establishment is opposite the car park (free parking) and in a very small street next to the tower. My room was on the second floor which might be a problem for the less agile or those with heavy luggage. The bathroom was small but the shower pressure was good and the water hot. Room was rather chilly when we... More

This was the smallest but freshest and best-decorated room I stayed in during a week in France. The hotel is just off the main thoroughfare in Cahors and doesn't have a restaurant, but the helpful owner will recommend several. It doesn't open until 5pm, but there are lots of things to see in the town, and it's in the old... More

The perfect location is in the center of town. It is the former palace Dueze from the 13th century, and is at the foot of the tower of Pope John XXII at the top of the old town, near the Church of St. Bartholomew. We took the train and walked to the hotel. The owner was very friendly and helpful.... More

We stayed in Cahors for a house hunting trip and wanted to be in the town center to watch the World Cup games and enjoy the restaurants without have to drive afterwards. Hotel Jean XXII turned out to be a very pleasant surprise as we didn't expect a lot because of the two star rating. Everything was in very good... More

The hotel is in an easy walking distance for exploring the sights in the city center. We stayed for just one night before starting our week long self-drive boat trip on the lot. The room was clean and comfortable, the owner friendly and helpful. There was a nice breakfast area and a sitting room which had tourism info for the... More

We arrived at Cahors in the afternoon with nowhere to stay. We were looking for 3 or 4 star hotels but found nothing suitable. We went back to this hotel in this incredible medieval building. The owner is not there in the afternoon but there was a sign on the door to tell you when he is on duty. He... More
