Not a bad little place. I'd probably give it a 3 1/2 rating if I could. The proprietor was very friendly, but room was quite small and we could not access the internet from it - had to go down to the breakfast room and even there had to sit near the door. Towels were crunchy, from being line dried... More

We stayed one night. Cahors is a fairly busy city and we had a little difficulty finding the hotel. They really need a large sign on the main street. The room was clean and quiet -- though there was a large carnival/amusement park right across the street. It was very noisy by day but luckily, it ended at dark. (We... More

Very small room with a very firm bed. Beautifully clean and quite. Really nice bathroom after roughing it for a few days. Close to everything you would want to see in Cahours we would recommend staying here.

As others have said, this is a picturesque, welcoming and well run hotel in the old town with clean and comfortable rooms, pleasant public areas, good bathrooms and breakfast and all for a very reasonable price. Will certainly use again.

This hotel is ideal for a one night stay in Cahors as it was for us. It is a short walk from the main street and nearby parking is free. Our reasonably priced room was a standard double with shower. It was clean and adequately spacious. However the mattress was very firm and led to a disturbed night's sleep. We... More

Cahors is our favourite town in France, and Hotel Jean XXII is our favourite hotel. And room #9 in there is our favourite room in that favourite hotel. We stayed in this hotel first in 2003 when it was still L'Escargot, with downstairs bar and breakfast seating but actually, we like it better like this. The rooms are not large... More

We did not expect much, just looking for a comfortable enough room for two nights. We were really pleased with our choice. Extremely convenient location just off main street, with free parking nearby. Room on the 2nd floor (really 3rd) was up a lot of stairs, small but very comfortable, with convenient storage. Husband said he had the best bathroom... More

This place is actually in a very convenient location - just look for 5 Gambetta Blvd and the tall medieval tower and you will find it. Free on-street parking is nearby. You are on the border of the old part of the town and the more bustling Gambetta Blvd shopping district. The hotel manager will give you a map. The... More

This establishment is opposite the car park (free parking) and in a very small street next to the tower. My room was on the second floor which might be a problem for the less agile or those with heavy luggage. The bathroom was small but the shower pressure was good and the water hot. Room was rather chilly when we... More

This was the smallest but freshest and best-decorated room I stayed in during a week in France. The hotel is just off the main thoroughfare in Cahors and doesn't have a restaurant, but the helpful owner will recommend several. It doesn't open until 5pm, but there are lots of things to see in the town, and it's in the old... More
