If you like your travel to be a little different this is the place for you. We were welcomed by the charming owner Bertrand and shown to our delightful suite, the Sainte Cecile, which was both quiet and comfortable. It took a little while to find the various 'facilities' … the slipper bath hides behind a 200 year old tapestry... More

Comfortable room. Continental breakfast included. Excellent position for visiting the old sector of Albi. Well situated for restaurants. Rooms are a bit over priced but this is a major tourist town and it is well positioned. Two of the bedrooms are up a very narrow spiral staircase which are not suitable for those who may find walking a problem. The... More

When you arrive at this absolute gem right in heart of Albi, you are greeted by the owner - Bertrand Amalric- and feel at home immediately. Depending on the room (ask for one on the second main floor) you will consider yourself staying in a 16th century Chateau fit for kings. Two minutes around the corner is the main square... More

I decided on staying here based on other reviews and the pics I saw on line….some clarification should be made about staying here….first, we are seasonsed travelers…we used our GPS to get into Albi and could not find the La Tour….after driving 45 minutes around Loches and using my beginner French Skills we drove to the Tourist Office where there... This is a unique place to stay if you are visiting Albi, it is situated just off the main Cathedral square in a pedestrian area, very discreetly tucked away behind iron gates (lots of parking nearby if you are coming by car) and key pad entry. There are only 4 rooms and all are delightful. We stayed in the Suite... More

We deferred going at Christmas because we could not find any restaurants open! Our summer visit was great. The proprietor welcomed us personally. We were given the very large 'suite' which was decorated in fine style. Decor had been chosen carefully and sympathetically. All good quality. Continental Breakfast was good. Location - super. Right in the centre of everything. Fortunately... More

I would rate the Chambres d’Hôtes Tour Sainte Cecile excellent (even outstanding) because of the property itself, the location and the host. In our years of travel, this has to be ranked as one of our most unique and enjoyable experiences because you really felt like you were swept back to the 16th century with the brick residence and its... On a driving tour of southern France, we stayed at La Tour St Cecille, Albi, France October 2013. It will probably be an experience I will never forget. Steve reserved the Tower Room without my knowledge. Let me say, that the room is amazing, romantic, and the view of all the rooftops and the pigeons of the city is truly... More

Bertrand is a very generous host! I cannot explain how generous he was let other guests expect the same treatment. Bertrand's house was in a very beautiful building with character. We stayed at the Toulouse-Lautrec room, The room was bright, clean, modern and specious. The bed and pillows were comfortable as well. We were able to make coffee and tea... More

If you are looking for an anonymous efficiently run hotel with all the amenities, then stay well away from this establishment. The La Tour experience begins, and ends, with Bertrand. He was clearly born for this position and he does it wonderfully, from helping you to find a parking space to cooking wonderful custom breakfasts. And all the while providing... More
