This is a cheap, get what you pay for hotel. That said the reception is good, bar good, rooms and breakfast average. Located within walking distance of the town and in the heart of the battlefields this no nonsense hotel is well worth the monry you would pay to stay there.

I found it difficult to decide whether to give this hotel a 3 or a 4. The main aspect that swayed me was the fantastic attitude of the staff. The hotel does look a little dated, and the quality of the rooms does vary. The hotel would benefit from a refurbishment, especially with the upcoming centenary. As others have commented... More

The Saint Paul is a mid class hotel in the downtown area of Verdun. It was a perfect place to tour the Verdum Battlefield and also the American Cemetery at Meuse Argonne Both are sacred places that every American should visit.

Hotel St Paul is ideally situated for a battlefield tour and centre of Verdun. Valerie goes the extra mile in meeting every need. It's clean, basic, and great value. I'm not entirely sure what people expect for a budget price? I would definitely recommend it and would certainly return without a moments hesitation. Our group took over the entire hotel... More

The hotel is really perfectly sited with easy access to the centre. We took over the hotel (48 persons) for a battlefields trip and couldn't have wished for better. The rooms are basic but exceptionally clean. Yes, there are issues with sound travelling from one room to another but overall the price paid reflects this. Really good vaue for money.... More

Well located hotel in the city center of Verdun, which allows us (even with 3 kids) to take an extra tour in the city late after dinner in one of the nice restaurants situated on the dock. Good quality / price and the owner are very kind, smiling and helpful. One of the rare hotels where we can still find... More

Excellent value - very friendly and helpful staff. Within it's price bracket it offers excellent value. The breakfast is typical French budget hotel. bread/ cereal croissant jam etc. no "portion control" and they staff were very happy to fill flasks with coffee for a day on the battlefield of Verdun.. The bar is open in the evening until 9.30, and... More

4 of us stayed here to do the Battletours . This is a very basic hotel . We had rooms on the top floor . Beware there are no lifts so if you have mobility issues try another hotel . The bar was always closed during our stay and the breakfast was overpriced for what is was . Good location... More

My boyfriend and I (20-something Americans) stayed here for one night while visiting the WWI sights. We got a list of hotels from the tourist office and looked at a few places before finding Le Saint Paul. We ended up staying on the top floor of the hotel with a beautiful view (huge windows with a great breeze). While the... More

Nightmare‎ Hotel If you want to take the edge of your holiday, this Hotel will certainly do it. Tatty linoleum floored rooms, paper thin walls that echoed the shower next door with the amorous French couple at 1.30am as if they were in the same room. Not suitable for any family ! The first room we were given (after the... More
