Hotel is well situated for seeing Metz and there are some restaurants in the locale, which provide excellent food. However, the experience at the hotel was dreadful. The room was okay but cramped although clean and the bed was comfortable. What made the experience so bad was the breakfast, which was one of the worst that I have ever had... More

It is unfortunate that the reservation made through an online travel agency has generated misunderstanding. For breakfast, the buffet with coffee, tea, milk, chocolate, bread, croissants, brioche, cakes, cereals, jam, cold cuts, fresh fruit, dried fruit is served at will, with one person especially to satisfy the hotel guests . It's difficult to be objective when the staff are so friendly, but I will try. Nylon carpet and polystyrene ceiling tiles don't impress in a small bedroom. I had asked for and been promised a quiet room but this is not what I got, fortunately the noise of the traffic drowns out what you hear through the paper thin walls... More

As a family room offer we had two adjacent rooms with a joint front door. In fact they are two seperate rooms, with is nice for families with older children. Very clean, but small rooms. But....for just 100 euro for four people per night, excluding breakfast, it is a very good deal. I would come again whenever in this area.

Upon checking in, the first impression is nice: you get a colorful room and a comfortable bed, everything looks clean. Location is nice, just a couple of blocks from the train station. However, all that glitters is not gold: there are some major flaws. Bathroom is small, the bed takes so much space that the room to the bathroom couldn't... More

The hotel looked quite nice from the outside. We had two rooms on the third floor here for our family of four. After our first hike up the stairs we couldn't find the room. After trekking round and round, as well as up to the next floor, we opened a random door and found our rooms behind them. They were... More

It is expensive for a 2 star however the location is good and the staff and friendly and informative. I reserved the room on booking.com after reading the information on Hotel Escurial. It says "It offers a free, secure bike garage." Imagine my suprise when the reception chappy said it was an extra 20Euro for 2 motorcyles. I showed him... More

The hotel was located a bit outside the direct city centre but it was not very far to walk. The area was quiet during the night even though we had a room facint the street. The room was small but really nice with a balcony. Parking outside on the street or in their garage. We parked on the street since... More

I can't believe the hotel prices in Metz, and I checked out many hotels before booking. At 85 euros for a balcony room Hotel Escurial is barely two star, no fridge, meagre breakfast and appears to have been redecorated many years ago with the cheapest possible materials. Our room was very clean, with a nice balcony and free WiFi, but... More

Conveniently positioned on the edge of the old town. Public parking nearby. Unpretentious entrance and reception. Lift. Small, modest but clean room. Brightly lit modern bathroom (state tub or shower). Ample french buffet breakfast served in an attractive lounge.bar on the first floor. Fair price for a city-centre hotel.
