Alerion is a bit off the beaten path as it is directly across from the train station, but even then it's only a 15-minute walk away from Metz's old town. It was a last-minute selection for me, but I could have certainly done worse. It's worth it to note that the reception closes at 23:00, so you need to pay... More

This was our first time in Metz and we found it difficult to find the hotel; it had changed names and some signposts still had the old name. I was expecting a more visible entrance, but it just had a doorway on the street and reception was one flight up. A tiny lift. Good location in that you are near... More

Right in front of the train station (gare), it's ideal if that's your means of transportation. Rooms will give you a privileged view of the gare or/and the postal office. The rooms will have enough space, aren't expensive, and some have a bathtub. Reception is only open until 11 pm. We walked everywhere from there, but that's possible since Metz... More

This place is ideally situated for exploring the city. Across the street from the central train station and on a bus route with seemingly nonstop bus service. Nice cafes and brasseries within just a few hundred meters. The rooms are compact but with some storage space. The shower was tight but nice with decent water pressure and plenty of hot... More

Great location if traveling by train, as it's across the street from City Station. Easy ten minute minibus ride to Cathedral and Office of Tourism. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. This is one time that the 9 Euro breakfast was worth it. Be sure to find out where to catch the bus. The small minibus travels on the small... More

We stayed two nights in Metz at the Alerion hotel. The hotel is centrally located across from the magnificent railway station. There is convenient underground parking across the street. It is not very visible, and it feels as if you are driving across the edge of the railway plaza to get in. The people at the reception were very helpful,... More

My wife and I stayed at the Alerion Hotel for 5 nights in September. The hotel was across the street from the train station and was very convenient. The room was very lovely, clean and quiet. The staff was amazing, specially a man named Robert who took a lot of time with us. He gave us many excellent locations to... More

This hotel is facing the station in Metz. We didn't hear any noise from trains and our room overlooked the station building which is quite impressive. The room was spacious and clean and good value for money

This hotel is located in a very pretty neighborhood close to the train station. It's well furnished, very clean and with a friendly staff who went out of their way for us. There's several restaurants close by and the Pizza place right next door is quite good. Although close to the station we heard no noise at all and I... More

The entrance to the hotel is just off the station square, and initially involves going up a flight of stairs to reception. You don't get the passcode for the elevator from the ground floor until after you check in. We had a large clean double room overlooking the square. The breakfast buffet was good. Good, free wifi. The entrance to... More
