I stayed at this hotel for 6 days. It is located just near the railway station but and you need to spend about 10 minutes to reach the city center. Staff were really friendly, and there is only one negative impression caused by my room. First of all, it was warm inside even when window was open. And also my... More

Had a lovely three days in Metz. The city is beautiful, lovely weather when we were there. Lots of fine restaurants and the Cathedral and daily markets are musts Hotel was definitely three star but the absence of air conditioning was a killer. Would have happily paid a supplement. As it was we had three nights of open windows facing... More

My husband and I stayed here in July with our two teenagers. We requested 2 rooms, and ended up on diffferent floors -- OK, since our kids are now fairly mature. When the kids and I arrived just before noon, the hotel staff was very helpful about stowing our luggage and helping us get oriented to the city. My husband... More

Conveniently located directly across the plaza from the train station. Staff was very courteous and helpful in advising us about some of the ways to see the sights in Metz, as we were only going to be in town for part of two days. Nice restaurant just a couple of blocks N of the hotel were we had a good... More

Back in March I booked 2 rooms for 14th July, completely overlooking the importance of that date in the French calendar... Finding the hotel in busy traffic through the one way system on the evening of Bastille Day wasn't too easy - especially as the hotel's presence at street level is little more than a doorway with a canopy. The... More

The Alerion is situated directly across the plaza from the railway station - and what a beautiful station it is - more like a gothic castle than a station. Well worth a look inside. There is an underground car park right between the hotel and the station. The hotel gets special parking rates of 8 euros a day, which is... More

A previous reviewer mentioned using the lift, so I had no hesitation booking a room there for two nights, despite the fact that I cannot carry luggage upstairs. When I arrived in mid-June, I found that the lift was out-of-service. The hotel's reception desk is on the second floor (one up from the street), which was 22 steps. The second... More

When I requested a room in the hotel, I wrote that I am handicapped with multiple sclerosis and walk with a cane. I requested a couple extra pillows for my bed, as well. The hotel is virtually across from the train station. Easy to get to. The pluses are that the pillows were already on the bed. The bed was... More

This is a well located independent 2 star hotel just across the street from the railway station, if you don't lose sight of the fact it's a 2 star hotel it represents fine value for money. Whilst the rooms are not huge, they have high ceilings that give a sense of space, and the bedding is first class. Front desk... More

Stayed for one night due to proximity of railway station 200 meters away in a single comfort room, which was clean and functional. The room overlooked the station, but was quiet and featured a basic standard shower/ toilet room. Reception staff are friendly with wide range of languages. Fine as a 2 star stay.
