Very accommodating of our dog. Lovely room, shabby chic French style. Very nice breakfast - huge choice of lovely food. Very friendly and helpful staff. Centrally located. Car park nearby. Would stay again.

This is a delightful family run hotel just by the Cathedral and in the centre of the very lovely City of Metz. We stayed in the annexe, just a few metres from the main hotel, with a lovely room overlooking the Cathedral. Each room has been furnished in keeping with the hotel' s long history as a former important town... More

We chose this hotel as it is right next to the cathedral and we were keen to see the windows there designed by Marc Chagall. The proximity to the cathedral was helpful (as it began to rain when we walked between them) but there is precious little else to recommend the surroundings. For vegetarians, the sight of the the poorly... More

We stayed here as Metz was a convenient stop-over (we were driving to the UK). The hotel is located right opposite to the cathedral, in the heart of the restaurants district. Very good location. The hotel itself is quite charming though it could do with a bit of housekeeping and renovation. I would consider it an "upgraded hostel" rather than... More

Unfortunately we chose this hotel based on TripAdvisor reviews, and were very disappointed... I cannot believe this is the top hotel of Metz. I have to agree with another reviewer that stated he could not believe such positive reviews (after staying). It is old and musty (it smells due to the old furniture and rugs). It is dark, not charming.... More

i am in a room that could be my grand mother room: antique furniture, the nice smell of an older house, and yet all the comfort of a modern hotel: air conditioning , great bed, good bathroom. the staff is really friendly. they do not have an elevator on the "annex" and the lady insisted in carrying our luggage even... Just come back from a French road trip, finishing up in Metz. This hotel is still great. Perfect location, incredibly friendly staff and amazing breakfast - tons of fruit, cakes, bread, cheese and ham. There's a few people that make mention that the hotel should have an elevator. I said it in my first review and am going to say... More

We absolutely loved our room in the Annex. It was so well decorated and cozy. Would have rated it a 5 but no elevators does make it a challenge if you have luggage and you are on the 3rd floor. The cathedral view is gorgeous at night.

This hotel is not perfect, but the wonderful French decor and supremely helpful staff make up for any imperfections. Our welcome was extremely warm and despite our being younger than madame, she insisted on trying to carry our bags up 3 flights of stairs. Sense prevailed after our protestations and a young waiter from the restaurant eventually took the heaviest... More

We stayed two nights in a room overlooking the cathedral. The room was spacious, furnished with antiques, and the hotel is like staying in your rich aunt's old mansion. The staff was among the most helpful and pleasant I've ever met - they made us feel so welcome. The breakfast was outstanding: at least 10 types of fruit and excellent... More
