We really loved this hotel, wiich has lots of character and a great view of the cathedral. Very friendly staff made us feel very welcome and were more than happy to recommend other restaurants, rather than trying to talk us into eating at theirs (which looked and smelt very good but we preferred to find somewhere more traditionally French). Sadly... More

Beautifully vintage, amazing view of the cathedral, close to the shopping area, romantic neighborhood, clean with the nicest staff I have ever encountered. I can't wait til my parents and friends come visit us in Germany from LA so I can find excuses to keep going there.

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel for a night. This was also one of the highlights of our week-end escape to the beautiful city of Metz. As you enter the hotel and go up the stairs you feel yourself as you've been teleported in the times of knights and musketeers. It is decorated with very much attention to... More

This hotel is in a great location, close to all the main sights, but quiet and with lovely rooms. Fab service and a breakfast to die for, with really good coffee, about 12 different tarts, lots of pastries and all fresh. Great value as well

When I describe this 20-room hotel, now run by a family whose roots stretch back to the Berbers of North Africa, as ‘shabby chic’ I mean it as the sincerest of compliments. Into the bargain it has one of Metz’s most striking views of the city’s breathtaking 11th Century cathedral. Parts of the hotel itself date from the 1600s and... More

I booked 3 nights accommodation using the hotel's website. We wanted a quiet room, so decided on the annex with a courtyard room when booking. Our deal excluded breakfast. The hotel website gives good and correct information and replies about availability are quick. We arrived in Metz at the Rail Station and caught a taxi to the Hotel. We had... More

This hotel has much to recommend. Great location, genuinely friendly and helpful staff, and very clean. Yes, it is old but its quaintness adds to its charm. Breakfast is, as others have said, amazing, with some dozen or more cakes and pies, breads and pastries. Plus a whole table with twelves plates of different fruit, mainly whole. Also some cheeses... Arrived a little later than planned. Very friendly and helpful staff who were quick to step in when I ran out of French words and switched to English. Anyway, the room was lovely. The hotel is in a great location and Metz is a really nice place with a wide selection of places to eat. Breakfast was a little expensive... More

Okay, for the number 1 hotel in Metz we were a little bit disappointed at the beginning because the rooms are really a little old fashioned. But the Service is great and the breakfast enormous (at least 10 different cakes)

A lovely hotel in a good location. Hotel staff seemed to be in a bit of a hurry (this could have been because we were a bit late), but attentive. When we arrived at our room (at the top floor of the elevator-less annexe), we found it was unlocked and someone had left half a bottle of cola on the... More
