Great location near station & Pompidou Centre - walkable distance to centre of Metz. Very friendly and helpful staff - owner of this small hotel on reception desk every day during our stay. We wanted somewhere to stay over returning to Calais from Bavaria, and the location and price were a factor in choosing this hotel. This was an overnight stopover location for us and it was fine for that. The hotel offers secure parking, which we are always looking for, but be warned it is very tight to get in and out of the garage particularly if you have a wide or low car. The room was adequate and the staff were helpful.

This was a fine hotel for our family. Good sized room with comfortable beds and facilities. Was secure parking and it was close to the city centre, which is a delight. Patrons are very helpful and thoughtful, which was much appreciated.

Clean place, quiet room, good firm bed Cramped and aging furniture and decor (without any of the "old fashioned charm"). A bit dingy. No aircon so slept all night with the window wide open. Good access to city

Cecil is a mix of 2-3 stars hotel. Room is big, confortable and basic, no complain, remember hotel price. Location is excellent, 3 blocks from trains staion, 7 minutes walking to old downtown. Breakfast is included, which is rare in France.It´s delicious, with good croissants, cheese, fruits,juice, etc. Helpful staff. Free internet and is possible to use computer in reception.... More

The hotel is very near the Station and the Centre Pompidou - the personnel friendly and helpful. The wifi is free and works. The price is reasonable and the hotel is clean. the breakfast is not bad. This hotel is OK. But although clean and with friendly and helpful staff, it has a slightly drab feel. Maybe Metz is a bit more expensive than some other cities, but we stayed at nicer hotels for similar or less in Colmar, Nancy and Strasbourg, so I wonder if better quality might also be found elsewhere at this price in... A good, old fashioned city hotel near the monumental Central Station. A good starting point to visit the very charming old Metz. Good room, good bathroom with a window. Clean. Standard breakfast, but acceptable. The atmosphere is clearly "travelling salesman", but hey! They know where to stay! Garage available with a fee. Overnight parking by the sidewalk free.
