This hotel needs refurbishing and thorough maintenance. It is dirty, noisy and we didn't even bother to try the breakfast. The pool cannot be used. There is pigeon poo everywerein the courtyard. Junks or drunks make lots of noise during the night in the courtyard. We booked a double bed and this was confirmed but on arrival we got two... More

A great hotel for a night when travelling. It was clean, comfortable and quirky. There was a mantelpiece at the end of a corridor (no fireplace)! There was hessian wallpaper in the corridors and a hotch potch of skirting boards. Some were brown, others white, some short others deep with unfinished edges. The car park was easy to find but... we had a very large "under the roof" room, almost a flat, with a jacuzzi bath. The breakfast is excellent. The public parking next door is only monitored by camera (at the reception) but does not inspire safety (stinking smell, water marks, abandoned demolished cars). The hotel has an infinity pool outside but needs a clean, as well as the... More

I've read the other reviews and it's fair to say this place will inevitably divide opinion. It's in a good location with a 5 min walk to the centre and we too stayed in family room 214 which is huge and for £80 a bargain. The car park is fine if a bit damp although the dedicated hotel lift and... More

Reading the various opinions about this hotel, we were very curious prior to our visit. Let's begin with the parking. It did not feel unsafe to leave the car there. A directional sign would have helped us to find the parking at the arrival. Driving in the narrow passage was tricky but this is not unusual in France. The reception... More

Have you ever been on a bad blind date that really cost you? Before the date, you talked to some people (looked on line) and wanted to hope for the best? That’s what you have at the Hotel du Theater. You try your best to focus on the good stuff, but just can’t wait for the date (or in this... More

Hotel convinces at second looks. When we first arrived we were quite disappointed... but after we complained about the room we received an upgrade to a suite. And honestly, -that was worth it. Suite is very very charming, bathroom has a hot tub with whirlpool functions. Defintely a place a couple can spent a nice, relaxing weekend. Hotel is situated... More

Please don't believe the 1 ratings other have given this place - it is much better than that! It is a little eccentric e.g. the heavy sacking wallcoverings on the corridor walls are a bit whiffy. Yes its dark but if you like the theatrical and quirky this is a good choice for you. Room was clean and spacious (we... More

Smelly, dirty, noisy! Swimming pool was out of order, wifi did not work at rooms and free parking was awful parkin hall where drug addicts and homeless people stayed at nights. Although location was good. I hope someone would see hotels competence and make it luxurious place to stay. Now hotel maked me only angry.

The hotel location is great, very central and some rooms offer a great view on the church and the old town. I have however left the hotel with a horrible memory. The welcome at the reception, although friendly, was not competent. The person hadnt been trained properly, and was unable to answer the phone promptly, or to advise on the... More
