Even disregarding the service, the place is overpriced - anywhere else we went after that, we payed less for a similar standard. In all fairness, the rooms were fine and tidy, nothing to complain about, and the grounds were pretty, hammocks were provided, and it was quiet. The food was also not bad. We arrived at Hotel New York, optimistic that it would be a fine place to stay, but we were unable to find any reception staff; the place was like the Marie Celeste. We stayed at this little hotel once but if we'd go to Nancy there's absolutely no doubt we'd stay here again. The rooms are impeccably clean, the owner is very friendly, the ambience familial and the price very good. What else do you want?
