Great hotel. Staff excellent who helped us with internet access to book our next nights accommodation. Very spacious and well appointed comfortable room but unfortunately no air conditioning. Also no garage parking, parking meter outside on street payable between 09.00 and 18.00 hours, but we only used the hotel for night time and were out all day so no problem!... More

Limoges has a very limited choice of hotels for a reasonable sized french city. Most of them are modern and sterile and in the case of the Mercure, really ugly. The Hotel de la Paix is in a good location and the facade of the building is quite nice. Inside it looks like it hasn't had an update in 50... More

This is a nice centrally placed hotel. Walking distance from the railway station and near the center. Very helpful owner/staff. Good breakfast. Limoges is a nice town! albeit isolated with no TGV access, but never mind.

A characterful, centrally positioned, and excellent value hotel right in the centre of Limoges. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone looking to avoid the boring mediocrity of chain hotels - its fascinating and also holds the appeal of location and price. The owners were friendly and helpful offering a variety of rooms to suit budget and requirement.... More

It was wonderful to take a break from the standard budget edge of town, clean but basic bland traveller hotels with this belle epoch feel central one off hotel. The price was just about right for a family with two young kids. The room was massive compared to what we had been used to and had the quirky advantage of... More

A wonderful, quirky establishment – a real antidote to the blandness of the hotel chain, but perhaps not everybody’s tasse de thé. In style it has a belle epoch feel, although the décor is not so much tired as completely exhausted, but our room was spacious with a crystal chandelier, a marble fireplace and a balcony overlooking the square in... We needed a cheapish hotel, fairly central, and fit for a family with 2 young kids. Really clean, comfy beds, nice en suite. Great location in town. Wish we had had 2 nights to see more of Limoges. Free parking just outside from 7 pm to 9 am which was great.

We wanted to steer clear of any of the ubiquitous chain hotels and instead spent a night at the Hotel De La Paix. Conveniently located in a beautiful square with a small park, the hotel had genuine charm and the welcome was friendly. We were able to park the car overnight right in front of the hotel without charge. In... More

Yes I will definately return to this "quirky" hotel, you couldn't find more helpful and friendly owners, they didn't have to be asked to give me a map of the area and mark the interesting attractions. Then they checked we weren't vegetarian before telling us of an amazing restaurant show casing Limousin beef. The best beef I have had in... More

As others have said this is a quirky and unusual place! We stayed there for two nights. The decor is truly original - all old gramopgones and phonographs and associated era stuff! It's in a small square, with a tiny garden at the centre, about 5 minutes from the Cathedral and a similar distance the other way from the Eglise St... More
