We found Mas Camps totally by accident while checking out the vineyards in the area. The only problem my partner and I found with Mas Camps was the French beds, but i suppose these are to be expected in France. Wendy, Arnold and Wendy's Mum all made us very welcome and we certainly enjoyed our evening meal and Mas Camps... more

My husband & I booked a night at Mas Camps having been impressed by their website. Arriving at 3pm we were shocked at the appearance of both the building & the staff. We were told that our room was not ready as they had run out of sheets! We were taken to the room which was poorly furnished & the owner... more

This was a 'last minute booking' in an extremely busy period. Our website had nothing to do with it, there were no other rooms to be had in this region that night. Hence their booking. We were given no arrival time at all. The couple arrived just prior to the room being ready. We had not run out of sheets...

My wife and I stayed 4 nights at Mas Camps in May 2006, having been impressed by their website, which was full of very helpful suggestions about car hire, listing local attraction and offering a comprehensive a la carte menu in their restaurant. Unfortunately, it proved to be 4 nights too long. Arriving at the hotel, which was slightly run... more

Regretably, the previous owner did let the place run down a bit and we are in the process of updating a number aspects whilst retaining the character of the building. We don’t regard the guests as...

Stayed for one night on way to Lourdes from Spain's Costa Brava. The auberge was shabby looking from the outside and in, and though clean inside in need of modernising. There were no other facilities offered except room and breakfast and no tea/coffee making facilties in the room. Breakfast was OK. The hosts didnt seem to be interested in their... more

Our building dates from 1776 so it won’t look as “tidy” as an IBIS from the outside. We are in the process of modernising various aspects of the building and its operation but it will take a year or two for those changes to be completed as we want to retain the character of the building throughout. In the meantime,...
