We spent a night in this hotel in June after arriving in Narbonne by train and finding our reserved hotel closed and nobody there. A neighborhood lady recommended it. As some reviews state, it is a little 'jaded' but we had a nice big room on the 3rd floor with a balcony to the street. Then we went on up... More

I stayed at this hotel as part of a group tour. the whole hotel is somewhat tired and some of the rooms smelt damp or smoky. However saying that they are quite spacious. The hotel does not have a restaurant or bar, but the staff were very happy to put wine in the fridge and then provide glasses, so that... More

This hotel is at least 100 years old, maybe more like 150. Right in the. middle of the city. It's been redecorated, maybe 60 years ago. Our room had three single beds, and was a good size. Separate toilet, tub, bidet. Very clean. Few electric outlets. Wifi only in lobby and first floor. No show curtains. Apparently some rooms smell... More

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel du Languedoc for one night in October 2008, based on a Thomas Cook recommendation. It was a handy location and reasonable value at 68 euros, but I didn't particularly like it. It was however clean and functional and okay for one night. Our room was pretty small and tired looking with faded... More

Grand looking from the outside, but rooms tired and yes, smelly. Staff very unfriendly and unhelpful. Poor breakfast. Only positive was that it is in a good location.

I didn't experience the smelly room but the hotel was pretty basic and didn't match the impressions from outside/ downstairs. I found it a bit concerning that the reception was often unattended and you could access the keys that guests had handed in. The room and bathroom were o.k. Breakfast was basic. I think the plus for this hotel is... More

We chose the Hotel Languedoc as it was featured in the Michelin guidebook as a good value accommodation. At first glance hotel lobby looks quite grand but it has a fusty smell and it badly needs upgrading. The room was worse - possibly one of the worst rooms I have seen in a supposed 3 star hotel - it was... More

Looking at the marble staircase you'll notice that this has been a true "Grand Hotel" one day. Now it's old but great value. Rooms are very clean and service is excellent. We stayed in a vast top floor room with a big bathroom with a seperate toilet (why do only French hotel architects think about this?). We payed little, given... More

We drove around Narbonne for sometime in an effort to find a hotel in the town centre. Eventually we found this very grand looking hotel and I was surprised to find that it had such good rates. The reception was very plush but once upstairs the situtaion changed. The hotel has seen better days. Much better. Once we had managed... More
