We really enjoyed our overnight stay - lovely warm welcome and practical help to get our estate car into the private parking, a characterful corner room with balcony (our room was fairly traditonal in its fittings but had lots of character that made it much moe authenitc then more modern places; when leaving we asked to see one of the... more

I was a little nervous about staying at this hotel after reading the reviews from others, but it was a lovely surprise. The gentleman at the concierge was a gem - nothing was too mcuh trouble, he helped us with connecting to the wireless network, showed us how everything worked in the hotel room (nice because things like showers seem... more

My partner booked this hotel as a surprise after a really bad 2 nights in our previous stay in another city. It really did the trick -- a small hotel, very private, quiet, and elegant. Internet access and great location for walking, sightseeing. more

While the hotel itself is quite nice and well-maintained and most of the staff are helpful and friendly, I was shocked by the rudeness of the female owner/ manager. One member of our party fell ill and we politely asked for some help in finding a local doctor who could see her - she didn't even try to help us,... more

Extremely charming hotel and very "French." Modern bathrooms and nice-sized bedrooms very nicely appointed. Efficient, helpful staff. Good walk-to-everything location. more

The Hotel is good, on balance, with those good points: Belle Epoque architecture and interiors, partly, clean and functional too, good location. And those not so good points: quite noisy, from the interior, suitcases rumbling and doors clapping at all times. The owners and staff: the owner lady is outright rude, makes one feel totally unwelcome, the owner husband nervously... more

This is a quality 3 star approaching 4. It is run by a charming couple along with a courteous staff providing a comfortable atmosphere. The rooms, we stayed in room 19 for 2 nights, are spacious and refurbished with good taste, 3 meter high ceilings (19), modern and spacious baths. We then stayed in room 33 for 3 nights, a... more

- We needed a place to stay in Narbonne for one night. We had to catch the train early the next morning. La Residence is about a 10 minute walk to the SNCF station. - Our room on the first floor was smallish but the large window made it seem much roomier. The bath was quite adequate and spotless. The... more
