Hotel La Residence is a very nice hotel close to the centre of Narbonne. I got a nice room with a wonderful view on the Cathedral of Narbonne. The staff is extremely friendly and helpfull. The breakfast if generous.

We stayed here this summer and found that the hotel surpassed expectations. The room we got was bright with a high ceiling, plenty of space and a comfortable bed. There was a door out to the balcony which faced onto a quiet street where we would here church bells ringing. It felt very understated and French, which was pretty much... More

With pleasant staff this hotel offers a very classic and traditional French style vintage offer - simple and tidy. Parking was a little complex as we had to either park on the street or in a nearby car park. Our room was very simple - the reception area is very helpful and the general reception rooms are inviting For a... More

We felt rather ambivalent about La Residence during our short stay! Good points: the location - minutes from the centre; a great view of the Cathedral from our bedroom; large, clean bathroom; comfy bed; parking (NB parking at the hotel is very limited, book it in advance); a beautiful old building combined with up-to-date facilities. Negative points: the bedroom itself... More

La Residence was a good experience for us. We arrived too early to book in but were allowed to leave our bags and start to experience Narbonne. All we had to do was walk out the door, turn left, walk to the bottom of the street, turn left again and in two minutes we were in the centre of old... More

Five minutes walk from the town centre. We chose a 'superior', slightly more expensive room, and got a large clean and well appointed double room on the second floor. Vast choice for breakfast. The small garage was full when we arrived, but we were able to park free of charge on the street outside the hotel because it was the... More

As we arrived earlier in the day, the personnel kindly kept our luggage for the afternoon. This hotel is very central and was suitable for our needs. The breakfast was good and personnel very courteous. The room was air conditioned, which was great considering the scorching heat outside. We liked the vintage look of the room and location and recommend... More

Close to the Canal and town centre this hotel is ideal for a short break in Narbonne. The breakfast is excellent and the staff really helpful over things like storing luggage. They even will provide fresh milk for tea/ coffee in the rooms. The style of the hotel is dictated by its age, high ceilings, elaborate floors, and the bedrooms... More

La Residence is a real treat if you like to stay in historic properties without sacrificing modern amenities. My room and bath were large, high ceilinged, and spotless. The room itself sported the latest thing in boutique hotel style; non-carpeted floors. I love this trend - so much nicer than fusty carpeting. Best of all, though, is the location of... More

La Residence has been handsomely remodeled to contain all of the creature comforts you'd expect from a modern hotel, but without sacrificing its baroque charm. The floors are all laminated wood; rooms are well soundproofed and all feature air conditioning. The bathrooms are immaculate, with good water pressure and plenty of hot water. Room size is standard for a European... More
