We booked this hotel based on the reviews. On arriving, we were met with a notice taped to the door that the hotel was closed due to illness. At the local tourist office we asked what they knew and we were told that the owner had been sick for several months. It seems like a little bit of advance notice... More

This is a small hotel up a side street in central Narbonne, convenient to all the attractions of the city. The room was very nice (great bathroom) and the staff could not have been better. Breakfast was extra but very good.

The pictures on their webpage are a bit misleading -- it doesn't look a fine in reality. They may in in the process of some renovation because there were boxes and furniture sitting in all the hallways. The person at reception was not friendly although not rude. That said, the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Good air conditioning and... More

Unfortunately I only stayed for about 14 hours, but I was happily impressed. Great bathroom and AC. My room was very comfortable and it had a safe deposit box in it. I slept very well. Hotel is right by the newly restored canal walk.

Don't be put off by the first impression of the Hotel de France. My wife thought it looked like a dump. The rooms are very comfortable and the breakfast is excellent. Parking is free and convenient on the street and the location is close to the canal and many restaurants. It was a good value and quite OK in Narabonne.

My friend and I had just completed a cycling trip and stayed for two nights in early November during a period of very cold, but dry, weather. As previously mentioned the hotel is well situated and has clean, spacious rooms with free wi-fi. Even though it was very cold the heating was not turned on, which resulted in a very... More

We were perfectly happy with this budget hotel in a great location to explore the beautiful City of Narbonne. There is free parking in the street directly outside the Hotel and the room was very clean and comfortable. Ideal for overnight stays.

This hotel is not close to the train station and if you happen to arrive in the rain taxis are few. The hotel is clean, front desk staff not very friendly, Like most hotel in Europe the rooms are up a flight of stairs.

Having stayed in 3 star hotels that were more like hostels, I wasn't expecting much and was delightfully surprised. Centrally located across the bridge from the old town of Narbonne (where you'll find a Roman road, medieval streets, a palace and up the road, an excellent preserved undergound Roman market or "Horreum") it's an easy walk to some great restaurants...
