We hadn't booked a hotel in advance this time and discovered this charming hotel in a good location with a secure parking garage attached to the hotel. Only room for one car so best to reserve ahead. We were lucky to get it! Rooms are very clean, well decorated and quiet, staff is lovely and went out of their way... More

We ended up in Nimes as we were driving through (probably not somewhere I would have chosen to go otherwise!) but this hotel was a lovely break. Location was great, left the car in a nearby car parking garage and could walk everywhere. Rooms were clean, bed was large and comfortable and definitely worth getting the in house breakfast for... We stayed here one night in October. Nice simple hotel with small rooms typical of Europe, very comfortable and clean. Located just a short walk from all of the main attractions in Nimes. We were on the 2nd floor and the wifi worked just fine. Front desk service was friendly and helpful in finding our way around the City (English... More

Near the church. The rooms were comfortable and well decorated - an apparent rarity in France. The manager was very nice and helpful in giving advice and/or recommendations. The only downsides are that the wireless network did not seem to reach our third floor room, and that the Temple is near the far end of the tourist district/center of the... More

The Hotel is located in the 'old' town, where sightseeing is possible in walking distance. The reception is eager to fulfil all your wishes, where it is advised to communicate these in front of your stay, email's are responded to immediately. Breakfast is 'a la carte' and kindly served by Eric. Room was very quiet, as the hotel is not... More

We stayed 3 years ago at the Acanthe du Temple, and this time we booked 8 nights, as we knew what to expect. The first room we were offered, though large was a smoking room and had an awkward shower/bath setup, so we asked for a different room and got one with two Queen size beds, a large table, wardrobe... Very pleasant hotel on the edge of the old town - yet very much on the 'right' side in terms of being in a quiet, scenic quarter. Also makes it very convenient walking distance for all the town's sights - from the unique Roman remains to the wonderful park, as well as the railway station for getting out-and-about. The staff... A wonderful stay. I have seen a few hotels in my trip; this one had the best value for money. Welcoming and charming establishment, exploited since 1971, by the same family, I‘ve believed understood! They have a cosy clean hotel with all comfort, congratulations, it’s successful.

Great hotel in good location. Garage was available (in high season may need to reserve?) otherwise large carpark in square nearby. All staff really friendly. Rooms are really lovely - looks like a recent refurb. Would def stay again :)

R eally pleasant central hotel. The Hotel and the nearby restaurants and the city still very ''French'' and not yet Macdonaldised. Hotel tricky to find. Turn sharp left outside station.Walk about 20 yards (past expensive taxis;I paid 7euros;) to bus stop .Take bus to the stop ''Gabriel Peri''. Cross over road and walk a few yards in same directiun as... More
