Nimes? Never heard of it. That is, until Ryanair offered free travel from Liverpool for the weekend. OK, plus charges and taxes, but the whole shabang only came to ninety quid including priority boarding. So, global warming on the back burner (in a manner of speaking) we decided to give it a try. Brilliant! We like making rash decisions, you... more

We stayed at this hotel for one night. Arrived late at night, receptionist was waiting for us. He helped us with the luggage and showed the parking. It's really 5 minutes of walk, and 8 euros per day. When we came back to the hotel, the receptionist was gone to sleep, but there was an asian guy waiting to give... more

Breakfast very limited choice, poor value for money, so we only had it on the first day. No Tea and Coffee in the room, I though that this was a requirement for 3 stars?? The Staff were OK, no encouragement from them to understand our French. Watch out and check you bill. On our return to the UK, we found... more

Interesting architecture. Had to move rooms twice. First room unbelievably small, second room leaking sink. Breakfast very limited and on the final day they ran out of orange juice. If breakfast only has a few components you'd expect them to ensure they've got stock of all the items. If you like a Gothic looking staircase then this place is for... more

The hotels front door location is not good for un/loading in a very narrow street. Car parking is in the multistory 6 minutes away 8 Euro per day. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Hotel has loads of character, staff on reception are extremely pleasant. Breafast reasonable. Only just value for money if booked on internet offers. more

This is a great hotel with lovely staff. Rooms are average size but very clean, the bathrooms are a good size and also clean. There is a nice courtyard bar and the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. more

The hotel has good standards of cleanliness and fittings. Our room was so small that there was not space for a chair. Trying to relax before dinner we had no choice but to sit/ lie on the bed and than found that from 15metres away across the street people looked down on us from their balconies. On querying the size... more

The hotel has no parking although there is a public multi-storey car park some 200 metres away. The hotel is located on a narrow one-way road. It was easy to park outside just to drop off luggage. Beautiful inner staircase and courtyard where we had breakfast. Rooms varied in size and comfort and we were glad to have seen a... more

This hotel certainly has character, being a "hotel particulier" of the 17th century, with all the old features intact. The room and bed were comfortable and clean and both the aircon and soundproofing worked well. The room itself and the bathroom were of average size only, but perfectly adequate. The staff were all unfailingly cheerful and helpful and the breakfast... more

Small, charming hotel which has managed to sympathetically renovate a very old building. The reception staff (who all seem to be male) are polite and pleasant and will speak English if pushed. My room had clearly been refurbished (very trendy bathroom) but felt a bit spartan. The air conditioning in the room was fiercely efficient. Breakfast was a limited buffet... more
