From the website we expected to be staying in a chateau , in attractive and comfortable surroundings. We didn't expect to be in a modern block of apartments ( hideously ugly building) beside a motorway with very little 'garden' to speak of . The pool is right next to the restaurant and was overlooked by a large group of businessmen... more

Booked this hotel/residence for a 3 night stay to spend some time in Montpellier. My stay here was disappointing on several fronts. Firstly, the hotel is impossible to locate - it's badly sign posted and we ended up getting lost everytime we tried to find it coming back from Montpellier. We eventually could find it by looking for the unattractive... more

We expected this to be luxurious and in a rural setting. Instead, it is right off the highway and the first room that we were put in (and presumably all of the many rooms on that side of the hotel) had highway noises and views. We arrived at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday after a long drive to find that the... more

After booking a room then reading the Trip Advisor reviews i was a bit apprehensive.. However, i was pleasently suprised.. The room was huge, the bed comfy and the shower was great.. It is a little distance from the centre of Montpellior, however it made it even closer to Pont du Gard in Remoulins.. Pont du Gard is amazing and... more

What should have become a relaxing 7d stay in a nice and charming castel, turned out ot be a real disappointment!!! I just did not manage to feel comfortable in this hotel. Based on the information on the hotel's website and brochure of our travel agent, we thought that we had booked a really charming and luxurious hotel. And although... more

Picked up hire car at the Airport and took around 1 hour to locate the hotel, driving around Montpellier is a nightmare ! The Chateau would have been in a beautiful place over 50 years ago, now the motorway is very close and the noise carries all the time. We stayed in the annex the architecture of which can only... more

We used an RCI Timeshare swop to book this hotel. The website pictures and blurb need to be taken with a pinch of salt. This hotel is on the industral outskirts of Montpellier and very close to a busy and noisy highway. Accommodation is split between the Chateau itself and a 4 storey annex. Our room in the annex was... more

I only wish I'd read the reviews on this site before I booked to stay at what I can only describe as the french equivalent of Fawlty Towers. The website is so misleading I am going to write a letter of complaint to the french chamber of commerce/trading standards. This is an overpriced apartment block miles from anywhere. We seriously... more

We were booked to stay for 7 nights but left after 3. Even though this meant us losing money we just had to get out. The pictures in the brochure make it look lovely - I'll never trust pictures again! The brochure says it's in a 'green wooded setting' - actually it's annoyingly close to a motorway (probably the least... more

We were booked into stay for 3 nights unfortunatley the hotel can be hard to find, despite it being near a main motorway. We arrived at 9.15pm delayed and tired to be told there would be no food available tonight or for the next 2 nights as we had not booked, the reception staff were not bothered that this would... more
