We arriver in Montpellier with no where to stay. The tourist office gave us a list of accommation. We chose the Le Guilham. About 15 minutes walk from the centre, difficult to find, is a small narrow street. Room nice and clean with old style french furniture. Bathroom clean. We stayed 4 night and used Montpellier as a base. The... more
We stayed here for three nights in early October. I agree with most of the reviews - we stayed in nice size room, the service was friendly and helpful, the location was lovely and we payed a good price. I take away a star though because the walk was a bit too far and taxing (for my wife and I... more
Stayed overnight May 21/06. Had a good experience; good sized room, clean and quiet. Nice breakfast and great dinner in the restaurant nextdoor. Highly recommended. more
We decided to stay at the hotel based on reviews in Trip Advisor and were not disappointed. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the train station, most of the walk via a pedestrian street. On the way, you cross the Place de la Comedie, which gives you an early taste of this lovely city. The Tourist Information... more
This was a clean nice sized hotel, with a good sized room. View of the Cathedral from the bedroom window. Nice bathrooms. Great location with Parking (you have to inquire where to park before you get there). The staff was amazingly friendly. Great location, within walking distance of everything. more
After reading the other posts on this website, my boyfriend and I thought it would be nice to stay at Hotel Le Guilhem... I must admit that in hind site, we might have stayed somewhere else. The hotel itself is quaint, don't get me wrong, it's just that it was EXTEMELY hard to find. The streets in Montpellier are not... more
I had a spacious room with a big, comfortable bed overlooking the beautiful St. Pierre Cathedral (if you go, take a look inside, it's worth it). The staff was friendly and attentive and the hotel is in fantastic area (a five to ten minute walk through the historic pedestrian district to the town center, and close to some nice sights... more
We really enjoyed Hotel Le Guilhem. The staff were polite charming and helpful. Our room was spacious, immaculate and above all, quiet. The Breakfasts were good value for money(11euros) but we would have preferred them to be included in the overall Tariff. We found the Hotel to be convenient for the Central Square and the Railway Station(10 and 15 minutes walk)... more
Based on the pleasant but restrained review in a popular guide book , we reserved at this hotel as a backup, should our first booking not be acceptable on arrival in Montpelier. What luck! This is in a beautifully restored 16th century townhouse as the guidbook stated. But it is also on a quiet street in the historic district, away... more
