I have just returned from a one night stay in the Hotel Ulysse, and was very impressed. The hotel & room was spotless, quaint and well appointed with a comfy bed, good shower and minibar. There is secure underground parking for EUR12.50 a night, and the hotel is easy to find, and only a short 10 min stroll to the... More

Although located slightly away from the centre of town, that's the only potential down point. We had a car so wasn't a problem, but would maybe be a consideration if traveling without. However, all the other plus points outweighed this. Area is quiet, rooms are clean, comfortable, and well maintained. We travelled with our dog and paid a small supplement.... More

I stayed with a friend at Hotel Ulysse Montpellier Centre. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and very quiet in a residential neighborhood. We asked and received a hot pot to boil water in the room. With an excellent boulangerie (the best patisserie during my 20 day travel in Europe) and pharmacy one block way, the tram 2 blocks away and... More

We knew we would have a car in Montpellier, so we chose the Ulysse for cheap parking and reasonable price. It's out of the center of the action in a residential neighborhood, very safe, quiet. The reception was warm, personable, and helpful. The room we stayed in was plain, but clean and modern. The Wifi beat any place else we... More

We stayed in room 302, top floor with a balcony, large room well put together, large bathroom, very comfortable. parking 10E night which seems reasonable and secure. Walking distance to place de la comedie and therefore everywhere. Breakfast is 12.50E/ person so make sure you have a large appetite, other wise venture out and find a cafe if all you... More

When we arrived at the hotel we had an extremely warm welcome. When we looked at the hotel car park (yet another tortuous type for larger cars), we, although competent drivers, were not in the mood for a struggle, so we parked in the street for a mere 2 euros, which was fine. Although I had requested a room with... More

What a wonderful find. This hotel is in a very quiet residential area, yet only a very short walk to the historic city centre and a tram stop tomtake you to all the city centre stops. Rooms were very well appointed and the reception staff were very welcoming and helpful. A hotel to certainly go back to again.

My daughter and I had a lovely five day stay in this hotel while she was setting up home at a nearby university. It is located a five minute walk from Le Corum tram stop, which made it an ideal base from which to explore Montpellier and to visit the university (which is around 10 minutes away by tram). The... Thank you Tripadviser for a perfect recommendation! I was looking for a quiet comfortable base for a week as i was joining my daughter for her final week of intensive French studies in Montpellier. we needed some comfort, quiet, good coffee, strong internet and clean pleasant surroundings- all not too far from the centre of town given our tight schedule.... What a find! I booked this hotel NOT having been to Montpellier. We were meeting our university student daughter, studying French in the South of France. Poor child. But that's another story. I am the primary travel agent for our family and I'm pretty skilled at this. We were SO delighted with our (my) choice. The hotel is in a... More
