This hotel is hard to find if you're driving, due to the one way system and confusing roads. However, there is parking, which is very convenient. It is in a great location right in the heart of town with loads of bars and restaurants right on the doorstep. It was quiet inside, though. The public areas of this hotel are... More

The hotel is very well located (near railway station, trams, city centre), but as an estate agent put it recently, 'rather tired'. However, they do seem to be waking up - for example, a programme of installing new, very well soundproofed double-glazed windows is under way. Judging by our room, accommodation is of a good size and is clean and... More

alighted from the 120 bus from the airport, walked to the hotel, pleasant receptionists, good size clean room, WiFi was unusable. small pool which got crowded. Great central location quite close to the rail station, tram network and the place comedie. We walked the entire periphery of Montpellier following the river Lez then walked across most of it's streets, there... More

Visited hotel as a base for an organised tour of regional attractions, Millau Viaduct, Camargue, Carcasonne etc. From that point of view it was ok, but because of the pedestrianisation of the area it was a good 5 minute walk to pick up our coach. I find it difficult to see how it rates as a 4 star, but that... More

We booked this hotel at the last minute because it was one of the few still available and now we know why. Upon entering the hotel it seemed beautiful, well maintained, and clean. However, this impression completely changed when we entered our room. The room was big, but really needed updated. The furniture is probably original from when the hotel... More

Initial mix-up with room allocation which was rectified next day. The staff were uniformly friendly, helpful and understanding. The location is GREAT-central to the train station and tram system. Buffet breakfast was good- a lot of choice. Outdoor terrace was very pleasant- watch out for the falling chestnuts though. I did not eat in the hotel restaurant but fellow guests... More

We eventually found the hotel as the whole of Montpellier was being dug up, with diversions everywhere. There is only one street, from which you have to make a quick exit before entering a tunnel, which will lead to the hotel, but there is a good and secure car park with level access to the reception area. The hotel is... More

For a 4 star hotel I expected more. Room was big but felt dirty. Pool is small and not welcoming. The location is very good but that is really all I can say to recommend it. I think it's overpriced. It really needs updating

Hotel booked as part of a package and as such could not be faulted for location both for the station and Montpellier centre. Unfailingly helpful staff battling successfully with the ageing fabric of the hotel and group bookings. The double room was a good size compared with many (3 chairs) and there were 2 fast lifts to scoot us up... More

A fantastic experience at the Oceania. Rooms were available before the official check-in time and Lunch and Dinner at the restaurant at the pool was excellent with superb service. The room was tidy and spacious and the staff looked after our luggage until we were ready to get on the train, station just around the corner.
