We stayed for two nights here last year and fell in love with the view. So much so that we wasted no time in booking on-line via the hotel website to stay again for two more nights in August, knowing that it would be almost impossible to get a good room anywhere in Collioure if we booked later. We received... More

Great position and views of the port. The staff were very accommodating. The breakfast was continental - nothing special but adequate. The rooms are not very spacious, but the decor is new and more than adequate. Bathroom was good with a spacious shower. In this specific location you wouldn't spend much time in the room anyway. The hotel has plenty... More

No air condition , very difficult to sleep when we finally got to sleep we were woken very early by loud water spraying outside on the terrace below. 150 Euro for this small room was way overpriced. avoid

Spent 3 nights in very comfortable junior suite which was spacious even by French standards - views of harbour / sea fantastic As others have reported there is slightly ghostly/ sterile atmosphere with usually just one receptionist Breakfast buffet in room with great view but of v .average content with diluted juice and only cereal being coco pops

Chanced upon this dramatic town and stunning hotel at the end of our road trip between Cabourg and Perpignan in France when we set off west along the Vermillion Coast to catch a first glimpse of the Mediterranean. We arrived in Collioure as the sun set and liked the way that Les Caranques clung to the cliffs overlooking the fortress... More

We chose this hotel based on Tripadvisor comments and were not disappointed. Fabulous view of Collioure from all rooms which are nicely decorated in modern style. Pleasant and helpful staff.Good secure car parking at hotel, which is a pleasant 10 minute walk from the cafes and restaurants of Collioure . Lovely breakfast room with panoramic view.

All rooms at the Caranques Hotel have beautiful views. The hotel is small only 14 rooms. The room was a good size. Located 10 minute walk from town either down the road or on the rock path next to the sea. Didn't get 5 stars because there was mold on the shower curtain and some on the grout. Easily cured... Overall this hotel has spectacular views of the water and the town. We stayed in the suite one night $$$,then in a superior double room. It was very small, but again good views. Seemed cleaner than the suite but no airconditioning and no kettle for tea or coffee in room. Staff very pleasant , but not much English spoken. Breakfast... More

We chose a suite which was a huge, very modern room with amazing views of the sea and the town. The comfortable big bed was in the middle of the room facing the large balcony which had sun loungers and table and chairs on it. Lying in bed at night with the sliding doors open, you could see the sea... More

Collioure in august may not be to everyone's liking: packed full of tourists with too man people wanting to eat at the same time etc. BUT... This hotel is the perfect antidote to all of that. You get full views of the fort and famous harbour area from all of the rooms including the breakfast area. There are plenty of... More
