Located in the new part of town, but also situated across the river from the castle. It was outside the main area of the new town, but also a few hundred metres away from the castle-centric hotels. Not too hard to find, but can be a bit tricky if you’re coming back in the dark. A bit of a jaunt... more

This was an amazing experience! Marlene & Michel explained the house name to us: they have 4 children, 2 "home-made" & 2 adopted, 1 from Peru & ! from Sri Lanka (I think). They are wonderful, warm, welcoming people & gave us good advice on where to visit & eat. Breakfast, consisting of limitless fresh coffee, croissants, bread, home-made conserves... more

This is a really sweet little B&B in the centre of Carcassonne. Marlene & Michel are wonderfully charming and they couldn't have been more helpful. Marlene even took us to the Spanish festival which was happening in the town the night we stayed. The rooms are all themed on a different part of the world. We stayed in the Dakar... more

What a great time we had in Carcassonne and our 4 night stay at Maison sans Frontiere. Marlene and Michel could not do enough for us. The breakfast was just what we needed to start our day. We had hired a car at the airport so was able to visit many of the historical sites - Renne le Chateau, Arques,... more

We really loved this place. Its in a great location (you can walk there from the train station, step out of the station walk straight passed the hotel terminus, passed mcdonalds, straight to the bottom of the 'high st' type road. You come out in an open air area with a fountain in the middle, an underground car park and... more

I stayed at this hotel with 3 friends from May 9th - May 12th. The owners are very friendly and made you feel very welcome. The room we stayed in was spacious with an en suit shower room which was curtained off. The only slight problem was that there was no wardrobe to put clothes in etc. The beds were... more

My mum and I had a lovely 4 nights at Maison sans frontiere last week. It is an excellent B&B with quaint, tastefully decorated rooms. The bedroom we stayed in couldn't have been better (see attached photos) and the hosts were very helpful. They were happy to phone and make enquiries or reservations for us and give us plenty of... more

Our room was cluttered and dusty with no space to put our own belongings. There was no wardrobe at all just a couple of hangers on the wall. No drawers to put things in either. Bed covers were clean. Given only one pillow each and they were flat of no substance so asked for 2 more but made little differences.... more

Just returned from six nights at Maison Sans Frontiere. We had a really lovely stay. We stayed in a Tunisia/Morocco themed room which was large with an ample bathroom. The weather outside was freezing cold but the radiators in our room gave out fantastic heat and the hot water was always hot hot hot for a bath - something which... more

Very clean and quaint, accomodation was basic but had lovely touches. We stayed in a Sri Lankan themed room which was clean and colourful. The owner was very friendly and helpful and served a fantastic breakfast. The hotel was located about 10 min walk from the old city in a quiet residential area. Would definitely recommend for a cheap place... more
