We were wrongly accused of making a booking when we only made a request which we cancelled a few days later. The shockingly rude staff tried to make us pay for THEIR mistakes. The emails that were sent were disgusting, absolutely disgusting. The language was SO SO foul and the one liners were unrepeatable. Think of the worst phrase that... More

The hotel is very French and this is the reason why we selected it for our stay. It is stylish and comfortable, family owned and very well cared for. Their is a lovely walled garden, ideal for the summer and warm days at other times. Our room was double-glazed which ensured a good night's sleep - no traffic noise! It... More

After arriving at Carcassonne Airport I made a call to our host Bernard to arrange a taxi to take us to his Hotel he was reluctant to the point whereby he told me to take a bus, we waited for a hour and a half for the Bus to arrive, which never did, so I managed to get a taxi... More

This property is lovely and the family room is spacious and furnishings were very tasteful. BEWARE though that it is on a main road and directly across the road from a prison! The family room was at the back of the building and quiet. HOWEVER we found the owner Bernard to be very unfriendly and uninviting. He was rude to... More

The owners have done a great job restoring this old building back in it's glory. All details had been taken care of very well, next to the airco of which is well hiden. With respect it's location one could see the positive, being close the the citadel of Carcassonne. It's on walking distance. On the otherside it's next to a... More

Six of us stayed here, all our rooms were very elegantly restored to perfection. The owner, Bernard is obviously very house proud. If a nice room is high on your agenda, these will not disappoint. The only point I would advise users to check is whether your room has a bath only or actual shower unit only or shower in... More

We stayed here for a week and thoroughly enjoyed it. We were made very welcome by the owners, Mr and Mme Mazet and they could not do enough to help us, whether it was directions or restaurant recommendations. The room was beautifully restored with a lot of attention to detail, huge bathroom with loads of hot water and fresh towels... More

This is a distinguished and tasteful residence from which to sample Carcassonne - obviously, the restoration has been a labour of love. No - it's not the cheapest accommodation available, but it is probably the most tasteful. It would probably not be the place to stay if you are averse to walking, although the centre of Carcassonne is not far,... More

Very nice B&B in a beautiful city. We stayed here for 6 nights, spending a couple of days exploring Carcassonne, and then escaping out into the countryside to visit castles, mountains, and villages. We also visited Toulouse, which is about an hour away by car. The proprietor, Bernard, was very friendly and helpful, checking the regional weather forecasts for us... More
