The location of this hotel is great. The pictures on their own website are not exaggerated. The room was comfortable but not huge, unlike others I'd seen and read about our bathroom was separate from the toilet, and neither were visable from the bedroom! Our ground floor room was easily accessible from the car park. Visiting Le Cite to find... More

For a flying visit to Carcassonne the position of the hotel at the foot of the castle walls could not be better. The hotel itself was great but as a previous reviewer has mentioned the glass wall of the bathroom is a little strange. The simple addition of a blind may solve all worries about privacy!! If you are an... More

We arrived at the hotel on a Friday at approx 12.30pm. What we noticed firstly was that on the stairs (which was leading up the bedrooms) behind the reception were two work men surrounded by wires and flexes blocking the stairs.... When we spoke to the girl at the desk about our reservation, she gestured towards the men and said... More

Party of 4 stayed here in late January for 2 nights (Sat & Sun). Husband & Wife and Son & Grandmother (2 rooms). The Hotel du Chateau is a very stylish and modern hotel with furnishings that still have a newish feel. Very good beds as well (which is important). On this European trip we encountered perhaps the friendliest staff... More

What a lovely hotel, Fantastic location outside of the medival city which gives you a great view of the turrets etc. Very peaceful location, ideal for a weekend break to see the sites of carcassonne. Hotel bit pricey but modern & clean, with a pool & jacuzzi nice to cool off after a wander round the cobbled streets of caracassonne.

The rooms are luxurious and very comfortable and the hotel is a 3 minute walk (and overlooks) the old city with its numerous restaurants and shops. The main town is a 15 minute walk. The staff are very friendly and obliging and the airport bus stops outside! It is well worth staying here. The Hotel Montmerency is next door and... More

I don't do hotels with frills and florals so was immediately impressed when I went onto the hotel's website to discover contemporary luxury presented in a modern style. I was left wondering however if it was all up to a good photographer and website designer. On arrival I was glad to see that my suspicions were totally unfounded. The hotel... More

We loved this hotel. Our room was a quadruple - queen bed for us and queen sofabed for children. The bathroom included a jacuzzi bath, wonderful shower and double sinks. It was beatifully decorated and very clean. The location was perfect - across the road and up a few steps to the Porte de Narbonne into the Cite, but very... More

Located next to the castle in the medieval city. Nice and relaxed atmosphere, despite the close location to the main tourist attraction. The hotel was fully booked, so the pool-area was a bit crowded. The room we had was nice and fresh. Parking inside the hotel area.

I decided to have my 65th Birthday Party in Carcassonne partly because I am interested in Military History and partly because of the ease of travel ( and cheapness ) from Liverpool by RyanAir. We did a dry run first because it was difficult to find a satisfactory hotel from the Internet and because we were a large group. My wife... More
