This is a fine hotel with updated rooms, just outside the walled city. It has onsite parking and right across the street from the old city. The rooms were small, but were updated including baths. The hotel staff were most accommodating. The views from the hotel of the old city and the surrounding countryside were spectacular. Avoid room 5 if... More

Just back from 3 night birthday treat. The hotel is in an amazing location, immediately outside the cite walls. Shuttle coach from airport drops you almost at the door. We had a medium priced room which was a good size. The hotel is well kept and comfortable including the pool area. Staff were helpful and attentive. We ordered breakfast on... More

Pleasant stay at this hotel. Super location a few minutes to entrance of walled city. Onsite parking. Pleasant quaint suites . Friendly helpful staff. Ok breakfast but nice company from the two pets Cerise and Elliot. Somewhat expensive.

We had less than 24 hours to do Carcassonne and therefore wanted something close. The location is fantastic as it is a 1-2 minute walk to the entrance of the old city. They have private parking for hotel guests (10 euro/night). The property is nice, well maintained and clean. They have 2 lovely dogs that give the hotel a warm... More

We have just come back from a 4 night stay at this lovely hotel. The staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgable. Our room, although small, was very well equipped and attractively decorated. Situated as it is by the gate to the medieval city it provides the easiest of access yet is quiet and relaxing. The spa is well worth a... More

So, the location, as noted elsewhere, is superb being at the main gate of fortress. The view from the lobby, lounge and dining area is a stunning aspect of the medieval structure, although most rooms in the hotel actually face elsewhere or nowhere. The room is small, and to the credit of the designer, packs in a lot in this... More

We enjoyed a wonderful stay here. It's a short walk to the medieval village -- called "la Cite", and our room had a great view of Carcassonne. The staff is friendly and very attentive. We had flown in from Los Angeles, so it was a pleasant surprise that the bar is open 24 hours, to help us survive our jet... More

Lovely hotel with an outstanding view of the castle. The staff were always friendly and welcoming at all times of day, including the dogs and cats who kept me company in the sun one afternoon. The breakfast wasn't what I was expecting for 15€, as us English have a preference for large cooked breakfasts. However they did state "quality over... More

the way the hotel is situated you have the most stunning view of carcassonne when you arrive already. it is breathtaking. the hotel capitalizes from this in having placed their restaurant and lounge area all in this direction. so if you are having a drink on the bar, have breakfast or sit outside you always have the same magical view.... Just down the hill from the entrance to the old city of Carcassonne, this hotel avoids the tourist crush and is arranged so that it seems smaller than it is - hardly looks like a hotel at all. Lots of thoughtful details. Our room was downstairs, with a gated outside entrance, and aside from being a little dark, was outstanding.... More
