My husband and I, retired, spent 5 idyllic nights in the Languedoc region with this gite as our base. We stayed in the room Paratge, a very large room with view of rolling hills and distant mountains (Pyrenees) from the little kitchen and of the patio, trees main house from the other. The little housekeeping rooms are in an ancient... More

The Holy Cross Stable B & B is a little piece of France wrapped up in a bow. Set amongst a backdrop of vineyards and rolling hills this idyllic spot is a welcoming haven. Genevieve is a delight, full of information and only too willing to assist with your plans, outings, restaurants and wine destinations. Our Gite was very comfortable,... More

We stayed 2 nights to enjoy what Carcassonne had to offer and were not disappointed. The Ecuries st Croix are situated in the hills just a 20 minutes walk from the walled city. The landlady, Genevieve is very welcoming and will give information on where to eat and what to see. We followed her recommendation and she was spot on.... More

We spent a week at Ecuries and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our plane arrived in the morning and we were able to check in early and also had our accommodation upgraded. We stayed in one of the Gites which was extremely comfortable and very well equipped. The owners are very friendly, hospitable and helpful without being intrusive. Breakfasts were delicious... More

A great place to practice your French. Our landlady Genevieve was happy to spend endless time answering questions about where to go and about things we had seen, even phoning friends when she did not know the answers. The rest of the family were also very welcoming. In a lovely rural setting but only about a mile, through vineyards, from... More

We enjoyed spending time in this peaceful farm setting just outside the city walls. I think the signposting may have improved as we passed the old city, carried on round the one way system and saw the sign to reassure us we were on the right way. The accommodation is separate from the main house, but you enjoy a good... More

At the centre of any good French bed and breakfast one always finds a wonderful Madame running the place. This is so true here. The location without a GPS is a little difficult to find, but once there, having passed the medieval castle and the spectacular vineyards, you find this charming Bed and Breakfast. The rooms are well furnished in a French... More

We've just spent 3 nights with Madame and her family at Ecuries de Sainte-Croix. What a wonderful place and what a warm and welcoming host. The room was spacious, simply furnished but had everything you could wish for. The room had a small kitchen and breakfast bar with a small dining table and large sofa in the main part of... More

We spent two nights there in the Chinoise et Napolitaine rooms, which are a mini-apartment perfect for families. The rooms are spacious and well cared. The location is great if you wish to stay in a quite spot in the middle of the wineyards, while being very close to Carcassone...no more than 10'. We enjoyed our stay very much! The... More

A warm welcome from the hostess and gracious hospitality throughout despite our very poor French. Excellent location with regard to the medieval town. The rooms we had in the house were large and our kids had a completely separate room upstairs which they enjoyed. Breakfast was good, served in the family dining room. For the price the fittings etc were... More
