My fiance and I were visiting France, Spain and Italy for close to 3 weeks and Carcassone was a one day visit. We had a blast visiting Carcassone in the pouring rain. It was quite a busy tourist attraction but a must see, none-the-less. This hotel was the basics only, one could only feel that you are stepping back into... More

Basic hotel, small room, comfortable bed. Basic breakfast. Bathroom had a few issues, holes in door, wall etc. Irittating thing was instructions on how to shower, turn off shower while soaping body, turn off taps when cleaning teeth etc. Appreciate this is to save water but why not for instance fit a dual flush on the toilet this would save... We came to Hotel Les Oliviers as a family of four for one night, because we were flying out of Carcassonne and the area (Argeles-Sur-Mer) we wanted to stay in for 14 nights was only available for 13 nights. Wi-Fi in reception only. The hotel was only 2mins walk from La Cite, which was very handy. La Cite looks magical... More

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights in late April. It seemed fairly average; a bit more basic that I had hoped but it was OK for a short stay. As others have said, the location is excellent for the castle but if you don't take a car it is 20-30 minutes' walk from the town centre. The staff... More

I stayed at Les Oliviers near the city wall of Carcassonne in France from 17th-22 April 2013. It was a trip organised by Newmarket Holidays. It was not the hotel that we had booked as that one had not opened for the season. A self service breakfast was available in the mornings, limited and with a coffee/tea machine that broke... More

We stayed there for just one night coming from Perpignan and going to Lourdes. Unfornately it was raining, even though, we went two times to La Cité. The hotel staff was really greaty, extremelly helpfull. The breakfast was excelent and 8 Euros per person. The only minus was that the kitchen in the apartment was closed and there was a... More

Like many other reviewers we spent only one night in this hotel, and had no regrets about choosing it. Location-wise it's an easy walk to the old city, though we didn't find any 'ordinary' shops in the area - it seemed purely residential. However the reception does sell reasonably-priced (for a hotel!) bottles of wine, and our room had a... More

We stayed here one night as we were on a coach holiday. Okay for 1 night. 10 mins walk to walled city. On arriving we opened the door to our room and the smell was awful. We did get the room changed as our Tour Manager gave us his room as the hotel was full. If this hadn't been the... More

The hotel is like a standard <<Holiday Inn>>. The room was large enough and clean. The parking is free. The hotel is located close to the old medieval city ( a 10 to 15 minutes walk ). Since we spent only one night in Carcassonne, this hotel was ok. We also had breakfast before leaving, 8 euros each. There is... More

This hotel was quite unattractive from outside; the rooms were ok and the pool small, though adequate. It was quiet when we visited, although it was late August so hardly out of season. We were disappointed there was not a proper bar, we were given a 6 pack of beer to share! We managed to find an Irish pub in... More
