We frequently use the F1 and Budget Ibis (formerly Etap) motels when travelling through France. The value cannot be underestimated, neither does this come at the expense of cleanliness or a good night's sleep. The breakfast (extra) of ultra-fresh baguettes, coffee, jam and cereals is equally good, we loved to eat outside in the sun and enjoy the warmth. There... More

I had a clean room, facilities were down the corridor, and mostly occupied by others. breakfast was good though, croissants excellent.. Keep windows closed or local dogs barking will awake you at 5am and front rooms have bad noise from busy main road into town. other guests seem to like shouting into mobile phones at all hours

Stayed the night here on our trip through France the F1 was clean and tidy , the usual service you expect from these establishments , if you are looking for any thing else then try one of the more expensive choices nearby, there are plenty to choose from.

On my trip through France we used several hotels. Sometimes budget ones for one night. Sometimes higher range for more days. On our way from the côte d'azur to Bordeaux we decided to visit Carcassonne. The citadel is a must see especially with a 8 yr old kid. We choose the F1 hotel in this city, and dropped our a... More

The concept of these hotels is to stop and sleep, while you are en route. Rooms are typically formed of: one double bed and one single bunked bed. They also have a basin, a flat-screen TV, two sockets, and one small towel for each guest in the room. We got a triple room (without breakfast) for 41 euros, which is... More

I arrived at night and had problems to find entrance by GPS (run over...on highway...). Than at the parking was a big lonely dog (receptionist bravely went with me - and it wasn´t there any more). Key to my room did not worked at first and I got another room than... Room had good quality (compared to price) and wifi... More

PLEASE other reviewers state if you get WiFi or not! The only reason I stayed, was because I needed WiFi.. sad yes, but essential for planning the next days events, hotel stays etc. I was given a paltry excuse of the weather causing it to drop out. There had been a bit of rain, nothing excessive, but followed by 20... More

My heart sank when we atrrived at this Hotel which was in the 'industrial area' on a main road well outside Carcassone! I completely agree with my fellow reviewer vietormundi09, this is beyond basic with no proper towels, shared toilet and showers. Sometimes the money you pay and save is never worth the experience!!

We stayed here twice....once on the way down to Spain in April and back again in Nov, the reception staff are very friendly and helpful, rooms are small but adequate, comfortable bed and clean, bit noisy through the night with doors closing as other guests going to use the toilets and showers, showers hot and powerful but extractors are useless...
