Good option to visit Carcassonne. The standard room is small but nice and cozy. The bathroom is spacious but the hair dryer is too simple. Great location, about 5 minutes walking from the "Cité" main entrance (Porte Narbonnaise). They have free parking but if you arrive late, you might not find free spaces. They offer a good buffet breakfast (9... More

The Hotel Aragon is just downhill from the Cité and within walking distance of several cafes. The rooms are small, but my bathroom was relatively large with a deep bathtub - great for soaking the feet and legs after a day exploring the medieval fortress. Some rooms have views of the Cité - lighted at night. The beds were comfortable.... More

This is a great place to stay when visiting the old medieval city. It is within steps of the main gate (Narbonne) and very easy to find. The front desk staff was friendly, helpful and even though the rooms were small, (as are all European rooms) ours had been recently renovated and had a small terrace to sit outside and... More

Overall we had a thoroughly enjoyable 9 day stay and would definitely use this hotel again. The location is excellent for visiting the Medieval Citadel, less than 100 metres or 3 to 4 minutes walk. Those with walking difficulties should be aware that it is based on a steepish hill, but hills must be climbed to reach the citadel from... More

Hotel booked through booking.com was as it said on the tin, excellent location on doorstep of medical cite and a quarter hour stroll to the commercial centre. Hotel was very clean with plenty of hot water in its small but comfortable rooms. WiFi was poor but that on a short break may be no bad thing. Staff at reception were... More

We recently spent 5 nights at this hotel after reading the reviews on trip advisor and I cannot imagine a hotel in a better position to visit both the Cite and the Bastide. You can see the Narbonne Gate from the hotel which literally is a 2 minute walk away, or there is a pleasant walk of about 10 minutes... More

Hotel L'Aragon was just what we needed - two minutes walk to the gates to the Cite' Medivale and it would only take 20 minutes to 1/2 hour to get to the Gare SNCF going across the bridge and directly through the new town centre. Hotel was clean and comfortable, staff friendly and most spoke English although we tried our... More

We had a lovely babymoon in Carcassonne. The Citadel is gorgeous and the hotel is good value for money - literally 2 minutes walk from the entrance gate and 20 minutes from the city centre/station. Our room was small, but very clean and beautiful. You have to tell the reception staff that you want the air con on, as they... More

Chose this hotel due to previous reviews and the fact that it was close to La Cite. Although this hotel says it is suitable for disabled guests please be aware that it sits on a steep hill which made it totally unsuitable for us and I would guess most elderly guests. The hotel was clean with lovely modern large bathrooms.... More

Hotel Aragon is excellent value if you want to be close to the Citadel, or Medieval city, as it is literally only a few minutes walk from the main gates. If you wish to see more of Carcassonne, and you should, the Bastide is only a 30 minute walk across the old bridge or a 1 Euro bus ride which... More
