We selected this because it was in the Logis book as an exceptional Logis and also in the Relais de Silence chain which we have found to be very comfortable. First things, it seems that although the reception has picked up since 2006 (see earlier reviews!) they still have severe problems with manning the desk. When we arrived what I... more

We spent a few days in a big, stylish de-luxe ground floor room in one of the buildings in the chateau's grounds. It was nicely furnished with two big beds and a large ensuite bathroom which included a walk-in shower. There was a private terrace with sun loungers. All very clean and pleasing. But beware! The water was so hot... more

We paid to stay at this Chateau on June 30 2006. Our reservation stated a "late arrival guarantee". When we arrived at 11 pm, the doors were locked and no one would respond to our knocking. We drove back to the nearest town looking for a phone to call the establishment, but only found phones requiring a calling card which... more

Stayed here for 3 nights in August. Had a room in the main Chateau, which was ok, but a bit disappointing as quite small & sparse(we saw a couple of the other rooms which looked better, so I think we were a little unlucky). The grounds were really nice as was the pool area. The staff did not tell you... more

Good hotel in a nice, quiet village, but needs to upgrade a few things. The rooms in the newer section of the hotel are great! The older section (the room we were in) needs some work--carpet, furniture and bathroom fixtures seemed worn . The common areas of the older section are spectacular, but who really spends time in hallways and... more

We had a perfect 4 days here with our 2 children ( 3 and 5). It was very very hot but we had a large suite of rooms with A/C ( check before you go as not all the rooms have this!), and the pool is perfect..we spent hours in it. The highlight for us was that our TOMY baby... more

The Chateau is a lovely old building with pretty gardens, a good sized and pleasant pool area and very nice reception areas, bar and restaurant. The hallways are filled with artworks (some a little risque!) and attractive furniture suiting the style of the hotel. The staff are also helpful and charming. However, the hotel is unfortunately let down by some... more

This chateau is fabulous! The grounds are gorgeous and the hotel is very medievel. Gives you a great feeling. You can see the mountains from your room. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The staff was extremely helpful. Breakfast was wonderful and we had a very nice dinner in the restaurant. The locations is about a 10 minute drive... more

This is a lovely, quiet hotel with a nice pool and gardens. Rooms are decorated in a variety of styles, but all are charming. You may want to see a few before choosing one. The restaurant serves tasty regional fare and the half board option is very good value for the money. The staff are very friendly and helpful. While... more

Chateau de Floure is one of many Inn du Silences. I have never stayed at other 'Inn du Silences' but I can assure you this one is far from being 'Silent'. Upon check-in ( The Chateau is really beautiful ) we were welcomed by warm and courteous staff who showed us to a 'smallish' room. We asked for something larger... more
