This hotel has clearly raised its game: everything was very clean and tidy, our room was comfortable and scrupulously clean, and the reception staff were pleasant and efficient. The location is ideal and the admittedly small pool must have the best outlook in the region; the views from the restaurant were outstanding, The restaurant staff were invariably pleasant and accommodating,... more

This was not the nicest place to stay! We nearly walked straight out whilst trying to check-in as the member of staff was trying to explain that we couldnt have a room with a double bed. Our booking confirmation stated 'double room'......apparently that doesnt necessarily mean 'double bed'. She asked us to push the beds together. If anyone has every... more

I was hesitant to say the least after booking this hotel and then reading some of the damning reviews here on Trip Advisor. I couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised. The room was well equipped with clothes hanging space, mini bar, flat screen TV and a delightful ensuite. It was roomy. The bed was a little harder than at home... more

This was a miserable, shabby place. The room we were shown to was a poky, dark room with another building right outside our window. It felt a little damp, but was clean. The bed was awful, it slumped in the middle, so we spent the whole night trying not to roll into each other. The TV was in every language... more

We have just returned from a two night stay in this hotel and I would agree with all the previous negative reviews. This is definitely not a typical 3 star hotel. The public areas and especially the staircases are tatty and not particularly clean. The room was very basic with a tiny separate toilet and a hand held shower in... more

Although this hotel is in a great spot and the views from the balcony over the old city of Carcassonne are stunning, the hotel itself doesn't quite come up to the mark. We paid 116 euros (the hotel's garage and breakfast are extra) but felt the hotel had seen better days. The carpet was shabby and the bathroom was dark.... more

We stayed here for two nights, and to be honest, we were glad we hadn't stayed longer. On arrival we were greeted friendly and shown the lift, which was small. Once we got to the room we noticed we had not had a view to the old city, which was only available on a higher charge. So we stayed were... more

This hotel has a good location but the rooms are depressing. Low ceilings, run down, bad shower and the toilet was so small. I could see many things that needed repairing, broken tiles, stained carpet and electrical wires in a mess on the wall. The atmosphere was not good, has seen better days a few decades ago I am sure!... more

Just come back from a couple of days in Carcassonne, which we have visited several times before. In the past, we have only stayed overnight, in order to catch an early flight next day, and had never explored the city properly. This time we had my son, daughter in law and 4 month old grandson with us, so we picked... more

I dont understand why previous reviews are negative. This is a normal 3 star hotel in France. If they wanted luxury they should have booked a 4/5 star hotel. The location is perfect, halfway between the Medieval city and the so called new town (Still pretty old and charismatic to me). On arrival at 1100 hrs we deposited our luggage in a... more
