Having been built in 1913, this is a grand old hotel, but it has seen its heyday. Conveniently located near the train station. It's very easy to walk from the hotel to downtown and then on to the Old Cite (castle). A bit difficult to get to the hotel by car or bus. Grand lobby and staircase, whereas the hallways... More

This hotel is superbly located in close proximity to the train station, taxi rank, boat trip docks, shops & restaurants. It is about 20 min on foot from La Cité which is a nice walk through the shops & squares and over the bridge which has picturesque views. The hotel itself has good facilities, with a pool, sauna, hot tub,... More

Excellent reception staff. Comfortable , clean room with a balcony. Good breakfast. Typical French decor, if a bit jaded. Could do with some investment but everyone tried hard to make our stay enjoyable. Would come again.

My wife and I have just spent a long weekend in Carcassonne and stayed at this hotel. We are very pleased with our decision and considered it to provide very good value for what we paid (about £320 for 4 nights). Yes, it is over 100 years old, a little 'tired' in places and the shower is hand held, but... More

Hotel is ok. Not 4 star. Maybe 2+. At the restaurant our order was filet mignon, we got pork. Well it tasted good, so we ate it. Next day we thought to give restaurant another chance... We menu was lamb, and we got beef... Maybe they do this when they think that you dont speak french. What ever it is,... More

Reflects the splendour of a bygone era, but the hotel is in dire need of a renovation. I stayed for 2 nights, and would have loved a real double bed, not 2 single beds put together. Pro: Great view from my room

This was the perfect location for me. I could drop my luggage and walk easily everywhere! Didn't even have to use google map to find it!!! The room was adequate with a comfortable bed but would have been better if there was a fridge and kettle. It's an old building that did have an unfortunate smell.

We stayed here for one night. It was €80 each which I considered expensive for France in January low season. The room we stayed in was very outdated. There was garden seats in the room, old carpet and the shower head did not have a holder so you had to physically hold it over you. The reception staff on arrival... More
