We go to Carcassonne every year and this was our third stay at this hotel. In previous years we have been satisfied, the rooms are quite small for the price but well appointed with a clever use of space. The service is normally good, it appears to be a family run hotel with MOST staff presenting as friendly and trying... More

The hotel is five minute walking from the unique medieval gate of the fortified town and our room had a window overlooking all the ancient walls and towers, which are very impressive both in the morning and in the evening. The room was rather narrow, but very well planned to fit all the usual furniture; an effective ventilation system assures... More

We stayed here 3 nights. On the 2nd day we had trouble w/our door latch, it would not open. The desk clerk came and forced it open. The day we were leaving we got up at 4 a.m. b/c we had 12 hour drive. We went to leave and the door latch wouldn't open. We pushed on the door handle,... More

I have stayed at this hotel before and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The location is ideal, the rooms comfortable and staff extremely helpful. This stay was no different and I cannot thank the lady receptionist enough for her assistance which was over and above what she needed to do. Unfortunately, during my stay, the French Air Traffic Controllers' strike meant... More

They might have the smallest rooms in France but don't let that put you off. It's as close to the castle walls as you can get and only a short walk down to the Pont Vieux where there is a great selection of restaurants, especially La Passage for tapas.

Stayed here with a group of friends on a motorcycle tour of Spain as one of two stopovers in France just to eat in the old Cite. No bar in the hotel but the one across the road is very good. Rooms were small but clean and adequate, only a stopover so shower and out to the bar then off... More

We stayed in this hotel recently for one night. This is more of a business hotel decorated in contemporary style setting. The room was small but adequate and the space was very functional! We had a great view of the Castle from our window. It's about a 10 min. Walk to the city center. The hotel serves a very good breakfast... More

Clean, welcoming but the rooms are so small and the wifi so narrow that I think we are under penitentiary norm here. There are very no space to move around the beds, which are only 80cm wide by 1m90 long. Wifi will only accept to let you go through very restricted port list. Really bad, to my standards. Good news,... More

Right on the doorstep of the ancient Cité, this hotel delivers what it offers, a good clean basic room, ours with a view of the ramparts. Whilst very small, the room was modern, the beds good quality and the small shower room newly fitted. There are no facilities, no restaurant, no tea n coffee etc in the room. But it... More

We expected small rooms and certainly got them - 'espace' is a real misnomer for this hotel! However, it was scrupulously clean but don't expect to find any storage space - a very small hanging space is as good as it gets. The location, though, is great. Having said that, when we withdrew our envelope on the day before our... More
