to be fair, the hotel, the room service, the reception would have deserverd a "GOOD" rating. the room was very nice and cosy. free WIFI. only thing: the standard rates are overpriced. the downgrade is the so called "gourmet restaurant". they have a impressive menu card with stiff prices. the wine list is a book. you will meet a maitre-D... The hotel is a grand old building in a beautiful park adjacent to a golf course. The room was a treat. The dining room & staff were superb. This type of hotel is expensive but if you are prepared for that, it is a better value than many others of its type and you will have a great experience. We... More

Le Domaine d'Auriac is a charming hotel, but the assistance is not always courteous. Sometimes it feels too kind and attentive, but a few main representatives do not seem to be up to the task. The rooms are very comfortable and well equipped, and the surroundings are beautiful. The pool is great. Unfortunately we had a bad experience with the... More

Domaind d'Auriac is a country hotel in a restored manor home. As a result, some rooms have quirks that may annoy people used to modern hotels. Any inconvenience, however, is offset by the lovely, park-like setting and the outstanding service provided by the staff. As a Relais & Chateaux hotel you know the food will be outstanding. In addition to... More

We came to this hotel to benefit from a Relais and Chateaux voucher my wife got at her retirement. The last voucher we received to one of the great venues in Paris ended in disappointment, so I was, franklhy, sceptical. So what a wonderful surprise to find a great hotel and restaurant really living up to its promises, and, once... More

Our stay here was simply excellent! The room was nice, but odd, with separate rooms for toilet and bath and a large builtin cabinet. Breakfast was the best I have ever had at any hotel, and the service in the restaurant for both breakfast and dinner was exceptional! As with most French restaurants, the dinners are not for vegetarians, though... More

We decided to stay at this property based on Michelin and Tripadvisor reviews. We expected good service, good location, and perhaps strong personalities among the staff. We got all that and it was all better than expected. We were treated with great courtesy by everyone. As noted by others, the building was elegant if in need of furniture refreshing. Our... More

We stayed at the Domaine d'Auriac the week of July 21st 2014 for 2 elegant nights. We have stayed at many Chateau and Relais Gourmand properties over the years. We have never been treated so graciously and personally anywhere in the world. Marie-Helene and her family and staff were the best hosts we have ever had. Our suite was elegant.... More

Domaine d'Auriac is an excellent family-owned hotel in just outside of Carcassonne, but just 1km from the Cite, the most important monument. Spectacular grounds, very intimate service, great, 1 Michelin star restaurant, and wonderful, knowledgeable staff. Only consideration is the rooms are perhaps a bit basic for what one could expect, but the rest makes more than up for it.... More

We have been travelling throughout Portugal, Spain and France the last two and 1/2 weeks and thought all of our hotels up to this point were beautiful however....this hotel was superior in service, surroundings. The Rigaudis family obviously take great pride in this beautiful family hotel. Thank you for our memorable stay. We were sad to leave.
