Like the other reviewers here, we had a fantastic stay at Sally's B&B. It is great to stay in a historic building and the staircase up to the B&B is breathtaking. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and ours was virtually a private flat with a connected sitting/breakfast room and shower/toilet. Breakfast with fresh bread, croissants, pain au chocolat, fresh... More

We had a great stay at the apartment having found it really easily from the instructions supplied and by walking from the train station where the bus from the airport had dropped us off. Lovely large room and living area where we could relax when the weather was grim which it was for the first couple of days. The large... More

The huge street door creaked open and we stepped over the threshold into a different century, climbing to the second floor up a massive stone staircase into a beautiful and cosy apartment. We stayed two nights but could have stayed longer and explored even more of Carcassonne, not just the very old part but the whole of the old part.... More

Our stay with Sally was very nice. She told us where to park, gave us a great restaurant recommendation, and arranged a vineyard tour for us. Breakfasts were wonderful. I'm not sure what the layout of the adjoining bedrooms is like because the room we had just one large bed (which is what we asked for). The bathroom is tiny.... More

We had always wondered what lay behind these grand old doors that are so much part of the back streets of French cities. This was a wonderful opportunity to find out and the spacious apartment on the 2nd floor was perfectly placed for our long weekend in Carcassonne. Sally is a lovely hostess with a warm welcome. She offered sound... More

We stayed at No. 11 for one night in July 2013, on our way from Barcelona to Florence. This was an ambitious trek with three boys at the start of a month-long trip spent mostly in a tent. Our time at No. 11 was the perfect chance to enjoy a good night's sleep in a lovely and quiet setting, a... More

A discreet front door right on the street, a seriously grand stone staircase, chateau style. Thank you for the friendly welcome, the quiet private spaces you offered. Loved the intimate expansiveness of having our own sitting room as well as a bedroom and shower room. Farrow and Ball eat your hearts out! Yes, then the breakfast: croissants, fruit, strong coffee,... More

From the moment we entered through the huge front door and saw the staircase, we knew we were in for a special experience. And we were not disappointed! Sally met us at the door to her 2nd floor appartment and made us feel very welcome. Our room, although you could call it a suit, was lovely. Very comfortable and well... More

In a historical surrounding, where better to go than in a very ancient city building, lovely restored with respect for the authentic details. The lively and charming host Sally offers you spacious rooms, in the midst of Carcassonne's 'New town' (dating from the 12th century, that is) but within walking distance of the even much older 'Cité'. An ideal mix... More

we stayed based on previous reviews and it was clear to us when we sadly left yesterday that they are all very true! Sally is a lovely host who opens her amazing home (which to the most hardened critic would be hard to fault). If you want clinical comfort then stay in a bland hotel, but stay here and you'll...
