I called in early to ascertain I was in the right place as there is no obvious sign apart from small writing on the entry phone. Mark was very welcoming giving me the keys to return later. The room was large with a big noisy fan to try to cool it as the weather was hot and humid. The street... More

Very nice. In an old building - an old merchants house - with most impressive stone stairway to the different floors and apartments. NO parking outside. It is a tall building in a very narrow street. There is free parking about 5 mins walk away. The apartment is top floor (2nd) with no lift. The kind owner helped carry our... More

Last minute decision to visit Carcassonne for an overnight and amazing visit! Mark was full of information and tips about places to visit and things to do, so much so that he got to The Celt (Irish Pub) before we did, the house was sumptuous, the breakfast was perfect but no, we didn't believe that you baked the croissants yourself!... Well, it’s been a good month since my return from a fascinating and fun-filled 10 day Tour de France of my own, not on a bicycle, but on the TGV. And one of the still lingering and more pleasant memories I have is of the one night I stayed in Carcassonne in the delightful and comfortable No.11 Bed and Breakfast.... More

My wife and I stayed here in mid Oct for 2 nights and as other reviewers have mentioned, the B&B is well located to explore the local area and is about a 10-15 minute walk into the citadel. Whilst our room was a good size and we did have a seating area outside the bedroom, the shower/loo is tiny and... More

I wish to be reasonable about our recent 2 night stay. Much of what I read prior to making this booking centered around the welcoming personality of the owner, Sally. As you can learn from other reviews during October 2014, Sally unfortunately was drawn away from the property. Her son, Toby, filled in for her. I don't have any major... More

Myself and a friend stayed here for three nights at the begining of Oct, It is a beautiful 300year old town house,it has a lovely stone staircase, The location is about 15 minutes walk from the old city, Breakfast was plentiful served by Toby who is the owners son, he was very helpful with directions and information. This B/B is... More

My daughter and I stayed at No.11 last week. We absolutely loved it ! Very disappointed not to meet Sally although our stand in was more than capable and very helpful! It is more like an apartment with breakfast, with a large bedroom and sitting/dining room plus a shower/toilet. Location wise it couldn't be better really. Close to a local... More

Visiting the the old town of Carcassonne is special enough but to stay in a 300 year old town house with it's 3 metre high wooden front doors, ancient shuttered windows and highly atmospheric interior was the icing on the cake. The rooms are at the top. Ours was large, full of character with great views of the old streets... More
