Stayed for two nights. The hotel is inside the walls and is a great location, for that reason alone, I highly recommend. The staff are very service oriented and have only compliments. Breakfast is really very good, our rate included it, but would have been worth a separate charge, as it was that good. We were upgraded to a junior... More

A choice of Four dry biscuits, five very small cakes and a bowl of marshmallows that was served as an afternoon tea , that was booked several weeks in advance, for five people. Not at all acceptable and no more cakes or sandwiches were available.

We made a reservation at this hotel to celebrate buying a house in France. The package we booked was expensive and after reading other negative reviews we were worried about what we may find. We should not have... On arrival we were shown where to park, we were transported into the city by mini van..we were made to feel really... More

We visited ever Easter weekend and found the city to be packed with tourists. But when we retreated to the Hotel de la Cite we found peace and quiet. Our room was very large with a large and lovely bathroom and a very nice outside deck connecting us with the private gardens. The bar was lovely and staffed by a... More

We spent three nights here over Easter weekend. The hotel is well located within the citadel walls. We had a superior room which was, frankly, small. There was only a single wardrobe and minimal storage. There was a lovely view over Carcassone. We had asked for secure parking - this is a joke! The secure parking is in the garden... More

The hotel is located right within the walled city of Carcassonne. The location could not be better to absorb the ambience of the old town. A tip : when you arrive at the entrance gates to the walled city, then look for a sign for the Hotel de la Cite , which is a few hundred metres away . this... More

Loved this hotel, the venue itself is absolutely beautiful, the communal areas are amazing. I could have sat in the library bar for hours with my book, or staring out of the window at breakfast time. Good variety for breakfast, with cereals, pancakes, croissants, pain au chocolates, petit fours, macaroons, fruit, cold meats. Limited on the hot food front, basically... More

I think my daughter felt like a princess in a castle! This hotel is beautiful and luxurious, and right in the heart of the old town. And the breakfast was a feast fit for a king! We loved every minute of our stay here and would come back in a heartbeat. However, it is very pricey particularly during high season.... More

We spent two nights at the hotel. It's located right in the old city (we parked in the moat surrounding the walls and had our luggage driven up the first night - we walked down to the car ourselves otherwise; it's a very leisurely 5 minutes walk) and it allows you to wonder what remains one of Europe most well-preserved... Amazing place to stay in the historic citadel of Carcassone. The experience starts with the little van drive bringing you from the car park to the hotel, through the city walls at great speed. Then the room - deluxe with enormous bed and great bathroom. WORTH EVERY PENNY.
